3-Star Hotels in Columbia-Shuswap

This is the most romantic cabin in a small forest I have ever lived in. I really like the black luxury interior decoration and all places are very careful. I especially like the modern kitchen, bathroom, and then the bedroom has a TV, and then the living room has a TV. The mirror is very beautiful.

The hotel is nice, a little better than expected. The hotel has an outdoor hot spring pool, a gym, a laundry room, and the outdoor swimming pool is not open this season. The breakfast is also good. When booking, it shows double breakfast, plus two teenage children, four people can have free breakfast. It is a normal Western breakfast, which is quite rich. The hotel service is also very good. Although I didn't see many service staff, the front desk was very enthusiastic and diligent from the moment I entered the door, and the check-in was simple and fast.

The hotel is just off the road, and the gas station is on the side. It is really convenient for self-driving tour! Hotel facilities are very new, there are access control in the building, you need to brush the card to enter the building, I feel a layer of security is very safe, breakfast is generally, but can eat.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and proactively offered recommendations for nearby attractions. While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, it was perfectly satisfactory. Out of the five different hotels we stayed at during our Banff trip, this was the only one that provided breakfast. There's a convenience store and fast-food options nearby, and it's also very close to the highway.

There was a small problem when checking in, so I contacted Ctrip immediately and Ctrip quickly helped to solve it. I gave it a good review. But overall, the hotel is average... The Golden area is generally very ordinary, expensive and without any special features. You can avoid it if you can.

The hotel is good size and clean. It is located off the main highway but we did not hear any road noise in our room. It is a few minutes drive into the busier part of Golden. We chose to stay in Golden to explore Yoho National Park. Comparing with the lodging options in Lake Louise, staying in Golden was good value. The only complaint I had was the bed. The mattresses did not provide good motion isolation.

The location is beautiful and peaceful. Unfortunately far from the main town which is not practical for those like me who don't own a car. There is taxi service for about $30 to get to town, which is actually less than other vacation spots in BC, and the area itself of the hotel is a good getaway from anything loud. I enjoyed my time here. Nice pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast is included which is practical but the resto is closed in evenings due to Covid. You can order food if needed.

The hotel is quite dated and needs some tlc to bring it up to the standard we were expecting. Unfortunately every door needs re painting and the fact that this is left for guests to see demonstrates some lack of care. The two bedroomed family suite was supposed to have Air Conditioning, but in one bedroom this was completely broken and in the other the unit was merely a fan (NOT air conditioning as described) which you couldn’t switch off, so was noisy all night. Breakfast was very basic and the tiny room where this was served completely inadequate for the number of guests in the hotel - who had to queue to get in. We resorted to eating in our rooms as there was no space to sit down there. The pool was quite nice but small.

The location is good. Although it is a 90-minute drive to Banff, the price-performance ratio is very high. The breakfast is free (not included in the order, but it can be used for free). The toast is very good.
