Spent 2 nights here over the weekend. It's a good base to then explore the area. We stayed in the Blue Lagoon room which was right for our budget. The room is supposed to be a family room but it just about suited us both as a couple only. This room has a wet room- just be mindful that the floor does remain wet and cold on your feet for some time after you've had a shower. Maybe a mop would be helpful to keep there to speed up the floor drying. The bed is comfy but the pillows didn't suit me, I preferred a softer pillow - these were quite hard - but that's just my own preference and you can't provide for everyone! The room is near to the road so you do hear the traffic racing past. I think the other rooms on the other side are facing the garden so a bit quieter. Breakfast was nice. They provided decaffeinated coffee and lactose free milk for me. You make your breakfast choices the day before - you can choose cereal to start and then a hot breakfast. On the second morning I asked for 2 poached eggs ( instead of the 1 egg they give ) which they kindly provided for me. Unfortunately the model railway was not working but we had a walk around the garden and saw the llama. Location wise - you do need a car to go to restaurants but the restaurants are only a 6 to 8 minute drive away. We went to Bryn Arms and the Grapes. Delicious food, great atmosphere. In your room you will find a list of local restaurants which Margaret compiled. Margaret is approachable and friendly any problems she will deal with them straight away. Outside your room you also have a table and chairs to sit out on. We didn't though as we were out most of the time. It was a comfortable stay. The beach is only 25min drive away. The lake that is near the farmhouse is a 15 min walk and quite nice to see. The walk is nice with the surrounding countryside. It would be peaceful to sit in the garden at the farmhouse with the nice views. A nice stay. Thank you to Margaret and her team!
