This was a disappointing experience to say the least. That being said everyone was very nice and friendly, with the exception of one of the evening clerks. I have waited 2 days since check out to give management a chance to respond to feedback left with clerk at checkout. There has been no response. There was no housekeeping for a 5 night stay. When I inquired I was asked, "Did you request it at check in? It is the guests responsibility to ask for that?" This blew me away. I asked "Housekeeping or a refresh is done after how many nights?" I was told, "It will never happen unless it is requested." That is not true or part of the Hampton Inn or Hilton policy. They allowed dogs to roam freely through the hotel with owners, not leashed, including in the breakfast area. Even at the large table where others were already seated and eating. The washing machine in the guest laundry did not work. The pool was "down". Half, yes actually half of the total number of machines in the fitness center were broken or non functional. There was no peloton bike as advertised. As I Diamond member I asked for a late check out I was told no because they were sold out. This was verified to be a lie upon checking out the next morning. None of these things are huge in isolation, together they are a testament to the quality and lack of integrity at the Statesboro Hampton Inn.
