When checking in; David seems to be frustrated from the start. We went to our room (4 adult females) to find only 2 bath towels. Looking further we found cut toe nails on the floor. Contacted the front desk (David] and he came up with more towels and said we pretty much did not see toe nails on the floor. We helped to show him them. Again he was very frustrated. And did nothing about this. The next morning we noticed a lot of small bugs all over a corner of our room. Paige was on duty at the front desk and was more than helpful in getting our room changed. Paige mentioned to the woman house keeper about what was in the room, and the housekeeper accused us of bringing them in; because we had snacks with us. Thought that was why there is a refrigerator and microwave in rooms??? Later in the afternoon we attempted to go sit at the pool; only to have David come in and say “ no drinks allowed in pool area” we had plastic cups. At paying the prices that are charged for this hotel, was the worst experience ever. There are a few great employees, but the dirty rooms and the rude staff Ruben’s the whole stay.

1st of all we had toenail clippings on the floor of our room. David, front desk person came to our room and basically said there were none, then he found one plus we dropped one off at the front desk for him to see. David was very, very rude. 2nd, we had many ants on the floor, went to front desk and Paige was on duty. She handled the situation very professionally and did not question us and just changed us to another room. Also spoke with the lady who handles the breakfast, she is a very excellent employee who made us feel very welcome. 3rd, we went to the pool with solo cups and a aluminum can, David came in and said we could not have ANY TYPE of container in the pool area and made us get rid of them, we just left the pool area completely. Before leaving the pool area I read the pool rules & regulations and it said you could not have glass in the pool area but NOTHING about plastic or aluminum. At this point I would not recommend staying at Country in and Suites in Stillwater for fear the would have to associate with David.

The rate for this property is twice the going rate for a facility of this quality level. I would have expected a TV that works, finished trim, caulked ceilings without a gap, a step-in shower, and bed reading light that function. I will skip this property in the future.

The staff was very friendly. Room was nice and clean. Had a mini fridge and a microwave. Nice big TV.
The mattress was a bit too firm for us and the shower water pressure was very low. Breakfast was just ok but the coffee was good. All in all it was a good experience.

Not my favorite stay at a Country Inn and Suites. The building is outdated compared to others. I typically look over the room and beds for cleanliness after checking in. When checking the beds I found one of them had hair, debri, and stains on it. There was some leftover garbage in the trash bins, and overall did not feel as clean and I would have liked. They did send housekeeping to fix this issue but it should not have been an issue in the first place. I found myself uncomfortable all weekend because of the cleanliness. The sound proofing is really poor in rooms as well. I could hear people slamming doors, walking, and talking in the hallway. I would not choose to stay here again and instead choose a different Country Inn and Suites location or different hotel chain completely. The staff was friendly and helpful but I overall found myself dissatisfied with my stay.
