City Backpackers Hostel

The location is good, not far from central station. It was clean and quiet. There’s kitchen and several bathrooms. Also free hot water and coffee. You can use the kitchen freely. The staff is friendly.

Reception closed at 8pm. Staff are friendly and helpful. Not really good ventilation in the room. Overall, it deserves the cost.

Delightful hostel with friendly staff- clean rooms, nice common area- walking distance to central station, near bus route and shopping areas. Reception opens at 9 am in case you arrive as we did on an early train - so just had to chill a bit. Lots of friendly guests - would stay there again

The worker on the phone was polite while communicating what went wrong with the booking, but the policies this Hostel uses are horrible. I made a reservation and got charged the booking fee (so reservation was set), the hostel charged me the full price later, which my account flagged as unknown so it didn't go through, I later received an email that this meant my reservation was cancelled and I lost the reservation money.... I could not make a new reservation/work it out with the worker, just a massive f*ck you hostel got money without giving a sleeping place in return...

City Backpackers Hostel is overall very good. It is located on the main street, about 10 minutes walk from Central Station. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hostel is kind of a maze when you first arrive. There's little signage and everything is all over the place. However, you'll soon get used to it. Even though my room was facing the common area, I found it was quite quiet. Although at night the room was very hot, and in the morning very cold. Also, the kitchen was well equipt. There are bathrooms scattered everywhere. And private showers, which are located away from everything (making them very difficult to find). The wifi was very quick, except for one day when it broke. The only annoying thing about the hostel are the codes to get in. There is one code for the room (that doesn't change) and a code to get into the hostel that changes daily at noon. This is quite annoying. It's also a very social place. I met heaps of people! Despite the annoyances, I'd recommend it.

You cannot beat the location for this price. Or the price for this location. My friend and I booked this months ago. We had a private room - a bunk set up. Tiny floor space but adequate for us and our luggage. The hostel is about a 7 min walk to the Central Station. And we walked all over Stockholm~ or trained- using this as our base. It's clean. The staff is friendly. There are several WCs and showers available for use. All clean. Towels are rented. The Nomad restaurant next door has good food and the rear patio is the interior courtyard of the CBP. There may be live music on occasion but it stops at quiet hour or before. Great stay. I highly recommend it!
