We stayed at the Sparrow for 3 nights in mid-May, two adults and a teenager. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to pretty much anything, and the subway is nearby too. The hotel is charming and very clean, and the staff, especially at the reception, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a bit above average for this price point. The rooms have some quirks, such as the door that opens outwards, the bathroom door that is on a very heavy spring and closes all the time, without any option to keep it open, and shower doors that don't keep the water in. The hotel is just a couple of doors down from two nightclubs, and although the noise doesn't make it into the room, the street is very "clubby" in the late hours. Overall the price felt a little high for what you get, although I suspect that prices were higher than normal because Taylor Swift was in town for the weekend.
