3-Star Hotels in Stockholm

Clean, compact & comfortable. Walkable distance from central train station. Down comforters, scenic view from our large window, large screen tv, clean bathroom with shower, free Wi-fi, self check-in (we didn’t have a reservation so we had to check-in with a staff person). We had a “Compact Double” Room for 1,689,00 SEK (about $156 USD) and it was worth it!

Room and bed are very clean, the storage space is large so can fit all of my luggage inside. Love the bedside light and USB charger. Lovely common area and good location, just around 15 minutes walk from central station, close to city centre.

Staying in the cabin is an interesting experience. The staff at the reception are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was also very nice.

The hotel is clean and cute. Its location is great, especially if one intends to visit Gamla Stan. It has shared toilets and showers which of course makes prices lower. You get slippers that can be used in the hotel room or for visit the showers/toilets. The shower-room smells a bit of sewer, and that is probably why the windows are open but now in September that makes the shower-room very cold. I tried to close the windows but they are stuck. The same problems with the windows in my hotel room, one is stuck. The window seems too big for the frame. The front desk closes at 21.00/9 pm and no one is present. If you loose the key to your room you are in major problem. On the envelope for the keys there is a warning text that if you loose your key you have to wait til staff arrives in the morning or you will be heavily charged if you want to be locked in right away. But that I had to read on the key envolpe, because the receptionist did not tell me that. The key envelope was so cluttered that the wifi-password was not easy to spot. The tv has only three Swedish channels, nothing else, not even BBC World. Free wifi with password on key envelope - which I had to go and ask where iti was at the front desk, because receptionist did not tell me that, either. But no phones in the room so you have to walk to the front desk everytime you want to ask something. And the receptionist did not give me such vital information so I had to go to the front desk at least three times. The luggage storage is just in the hallway in a corridor by the front desk. At the front desk you can buy coffee, tea, soft drinks, smaller snack bags and fruit. I have not seen sandwiches. I have not tried the ironing service. Staff seem friendly, but I have a sneaky feeling that when I turn my back negativity might surface. I am travelling alone in work.

The positive things: Good location, 5 min walking from metro. Great breakfast, more choices than usual for vegans Friendly staff The linnen was clean Not so positive: Room is pretty dated and has carpet, which doesn’t look clean at all. They made an effort to have nice decor but it’s not enough to hide that it’s all a bit worn and dirty. Security could be better. There is no lock on the inside of the door of the room. To get to the room, you have to pass 2 doors with a keycard, these were unlocked or even wide open on lots of occasions. I put a chair and bags in front of the door at night. You can also hear the locks of nearby doors opening, so this made me a bit more on edge, as it sounds as if someone is coming in your room. I did not sleep well at all (also because the bed is very soft, which I personally don’t like). There is no refrigerator but there is a big ironing board and iron in the very small area that is supposed te be your ‘closet’. Don’t need an iron, do need a refrigerator. There is no thermostat and it was very hot in the room. Had the window open whenever we were in the room, also at night. On the bed there is only linnen on the topper and nothing covering the side of the boxspring. There is very little room in the bathroom to put your stuff. The curtain is too small so you can not make the room dark at all. At night there is also some light that comes in. For reference: I stayed in room 518, overlooking the courtyard. It seems as if there are also newer rooms in a different hallway on this floor, I am not sure how many of the rooms are of this poor quality.

Although it is in the basement, its air quality and ventilation system is still very good. I spent two quiet nights here, although the hotel has a party in the lobby and bar in the afternoon and evening. But after 10 o'clock, there is no sound. The bathroom of this hotel also makes me very happy, because its bath glass is really beautiful, and it is equipped with a lot of lights to ensure that even if I need to use lights at night, but Not dazzling. I have to say that I was very satisfied with the hotel. I stayed in the cheapest room in the hotel at the beginning of March. The bathroom of this hotel also makes me feel very happy, because its shower glass is really beautiful, And there are many lights to ensure that even if I need to use lights at night, it will not be dazzling.

I had no problem during my 1-day stay. Room was clean, silent, bed really confortable and excellent shower. Liked very much the breakfast. However, when reading the 1-star reviews, I find them very plausible. Probably not a good idea to book the rooms without windows or stay during extreme seasons. The building is quite new, but one can see (check the picture) their standards are not 5-star, so probably a malfunction air conditioning system is to be expected. On the bright side, location is really good, close to Fridhemsplan, where you can catch Flygbussarna to the airport, saving a few bucks.

The location is really good, but there are few toilets. And the roommate who happened to have a loud nose thunder, deafening all night, and couldn't sleep well. And no hair dryer had to be borrowed early from the front desk as it closed at 8 o'clock.

I didn't have high expectations, as this was much cheaper than most other hotels in the area. It was surprisingly great though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms and public areas were all spotless, and the beds very comfortable with very possibly the best pillows I've had in a hotel. I'd paid for a windowless room, so was very pleased when my room actually did come with a window in the end! You'll be disappointed if you're expecting any views; the hotel simply isn't in the right location for that. What it is in the right location for though is the ease of getting anywhere you want in Stockholm. It's a 2 minute walk to the central train station, a 5 minute walk to the main shopping area, and a 10 minute walk to the handsome old town. No complaints either on the breakfast buffet - you're almost overwhelmed with options. The ginger shots are particularly recommended! Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Stockholm.

Pretty decent breakfast spread and booking system for the breakfast which can easily be done when checking in or online, location was really good as well.
