It's in a great location in the center of town. I was able to walk to anywhere in Stone Town.
The room I stayed in had one queen-size bed. It was a room, but it had no windows and was very dark, so I don't recommend staying in the room during the day. I don't recommend staying in the room during the day.
There was a turndown service, and they sprayed the room with nuts and insect repellent at night. Breakfast was included, but you could choose from three types, and it was very filling and very satisfying.

Great Location but Noisy Night
Shoki Shoki House, Stone Town – Great Location but Noisy Night
We stayed one night at Shoki Shoki House in Room 1 (Deluxe Double, Ground Floor) to explore Stone Town before heading to Jambiani. On arrival, we had to wait 20 minutes to check in as the room had just been sprayed for mosquitos. The reception staff were friendly, and the room was clean but basic, with a complimentary minibar as a nice touch.
The biggest issue was noise at 3 AM, with loud banging and moving sounds outside our room, likely from maintenance. As Room 1 is next to reception, it was very disruptive, and I struggled to sleep after that.
Breakfast was great, with a menu to order from and fresh fruit and pastries served first. The hotel is in an excellent location, right in the heart of Stone Town, close to the beach and main sights. They also stored our luggage after checkout, which was helpful.

We stayed at Shoki Shoki House for one night to explore Stone Town before heading to Jambiani. We booked a Deluxe Double Room (Room 1) on the ground floor. Upon arrival, we couldn't enter our room immediately as the room had just been sprayed with insecticide for mosquitos, so we had to wait around 20 minutes in reception. Unfortunately, the biggest downside was the noise during the night. Firstly, there was noise from the streets outside which didn't bother us too much, but then at around 3:30 am, we were woken up by loud banging and moving sounds right outside our room, which sounded like maintenance or repairs. This lasted around 30 minutes, and I struggled to get back to sleep after that. Breakfast the next morning was very good, with food cooked to order, plus a starter of fresh fruit and pastries. There was plenty of food and a nice way to start the day. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the centre of Stone Town, close to the beach and main sights, making it a great base for exploring. After checking out, we appreciated that the hotel stored our luggage for us while we wandered around.
