Attending Blenheim Palace for the Salon Prive, supercar & garden party, we chose to stay at Ettington Park. A joyous, pampering stay in a picutesque 'ole' school, quality hotel with a rich & noble history. A relaxing spa with warm swimming pool. It was too short, but a good for the soul stay . We look forward to being your guests again in the near future. Stunning house & magical gardens.. Excellent enthusiastic & professional staff. I would like to point out particular people who made our stay warm & welcoming. Damien, welcoming & happy, an individually aimiable chap. Cara, a pleasant welcome with efficient check in & easy explanation of facilities, situatioin of rooms & times for breakfast & dinner. etc. Vlad, vast knowledge of wines & history of the family & hotel. I wish he was my butler. Matt, training sommelier, exceptionally attentive & charming with easy gentle manners. A true asset to your hotel. Jae, friendly caring down to earth mother figure, warm, efficient with great energy & the best crumb remover ever. Nothing was too much trouble for waitresses. Erin & Ella, confident explanation of courses & breads. Friendly & competent with lovely smiles Many thanks to you all for your kindness . Interesting & varied dinner menu with tastes that meld perfectly. The Chateaubriand was proudly presented at the table & cooked to perfection. Paired with a bottle of rich Saint Julien. Bravo chef. Delightful room with super comfortable bed ( we have a handmade all natural wool cashmere & horsehair Yorkshire bed, which is totally luxurious & thought it may not compare but we had a refreshing sleep here ) Zzz. The temperature was warm & comfortable, fluffy white towels with robes & slippers. Lovely crisp white linen. Good choice of tissanes, tea & quality coffee filter bags. Fresh milk in the fridge. Large bottles of still & sparkling water.
