Sugar Land Hotels with Bars

The room was Ok so that’s why not one star On Check in the desk person says we only do housekeeping once a week because of Covid….now we all know that’s a lie. It has nothing to do with Covid ( she is en laughed when I said that because she knew, but that what they hold her to say, so nothing against her at all). It’s an excuse to not give good customer service I left my key card in the room, it was nice that they gave me another one, but the security, different person, did not ask for iD or even a name, anyone could have just said I need a key for room X and got it, you have someone after you that may not work out well for you Not service or anything. But the hotel has nothing within walking distance Like I said. The room was clean so that a positive. For $70 bucks I was Ok and got two nights but i don’t think I’ll stay here again

Love the location of the hotel, nice walking path around man made lake. The room was clean and the staff nice. I left a sweater in the room and called day of checkout to see if they found it. I was told they have the sweater and would tag it and for me to call Nick the general manager Monday. I called him and he was not nice or kind. He told me he needed me to send a shipping label and they would mail it back. Seemed very disinterested in the whole conversation. I sent a mailing label and called and left message with him that it was on its way, I never received the sweater. Got in touch with corporate and they said Nick would get in touch with me, which he never did. Called corporate again and they said to give them time to work it our. 2 months later received an email from Nick the sweater was misplaced and they no longer have it. He offered no compensation. The sweater was very cute and expensive so I am sure someone at the hotel has a nice new sweater. Nicks handling of the situation was not consistent with Marriotts standards.

I wanted to love this hotel as I have stayed at SpringHill's before. However when we arrived to check in for our 3 night stay at around 8:30pm, they didn't have a room ready for us and we had to wait around 20 minutes for the room. The front desk employee did offer us snacks during our wait. The room did not have enough towels, sofa sleeper cushions were stained as one of the bed comforters. Refrigerator did not work either. On the second day we discovered mold on the ceiling by the window. We were moved to a new room. Customer service was great. The other problem I had was that when making the reservation, the room was advertised as having a trundle bed. That was not the case. None of their rooms have trundle beds according to staff. Breakfast was ok but could be better. On our last morning, they were out of almost everything when we went a little after 8am.

Great all around experience at the Drury Inn Sugar Land. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. The breakfast and the 5:30 kickback were excellent. Good food and plenty of it! Marie was in charge of the food area and prep and she kept everything clean and in order as well as fixing the great food. Will look for a Drury Inn for all future travels.

Arriving May 12, 2024 (about 4ish pm) I noticed a young man sitting by the Front Entrance so I parked outside of the Veranda. I acknowledged the young adult and proceeded in to check costs and availability. The young Lady provided all and I started to check the room. I noticed another car entering the Entrance area and I decided to move my vehicle. As I headed past the desk the young asked where I was going and I provided “to move Trk)….Surprisingly she said not to do that and the Marine/Roughneck living inside of me started to answer and I stopped me/him to provide instead “there is a Lady in the other car and they may need to move their car” mine complicating the drive thru. I didn’t think much about this until 9:00 pm when my truck parked across the Parking Lots farthest (fm my rooms visibility) location that a blk f150/2016 entered the spot next to my Trk which could handle a Honda Accord but not a Trk. I blinked my lights to let whoever know as I hadn’t seen anyone leave the Trk. Around 9:45 pm a young lady who accessed the Office was returning to the Trk. By 10:30 I blinked my lights again and the Trk finally drove off. Next morning it became evident that someone had been in the truck and attempted to siphon gas, a complicated job to perform on a Silverado or any later model truck. Since my gauge showed no loss I was relieved until I realized the Gas Door had been leaned on and was now broken. Summary this Best Western Parking Lot is being preyed upon by some group. The communication between the individuals and the Desk Clerk/Employee (possibly) seem questionable. Considering the initial check in activity provided. The next day I moved to the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Rosenberg TX, right down the Street fm this Best Western and found the Answer to all my traveling Americans dreams. The Hotel has 5 Stories surrounded by a meticulously maintained Property. The Check In Floor is open and beautifully decorated. I met all the Staff while spending 3 Days there and each Lady was friendly, attentive and ready to provide all necessary requests of we Travelors! I will access the Springhill Suites Marriot website to complete this 5 Star Review of one of the finest Hotels I have visited! My husband and had a great stay. The room was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was a grab and go but I was happy to see Shipley donuts when I went to grab some coffee. The gentleman that night that checked us in was very friendly. We will definitely go back ...
