Hotels near Wat Bang Khlong, Sukhothai

The environment is beautiful, the service is good, the check-in is very convenient, and it is great value! Would recommend friends to go.

Location is probably main plus for Pai Sukothai resort with it's relative close location to the centre of the town. The night market area is literally a 5 minute walk away and even closer there's a bunch of nice restaurants and bars to chill out at after a day exploring. The bus terminal is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute tuk tuk ride away. Not all staff speak English, none of them when we arrived, which caused a bit of confusion as they couldn't find our booking. But a phone call sorted it all out and we were checked in. Breakfast was good with some mornings the option to choose from a few set menu options and other mornings the same ingredients where available in buffet form (probably because they had much more people staying that night). The room was spacious and cleaned every day, bed was comfortable and large and there was even a sofa in the room. Only thing that isn't as glamorous as the photos anymore is the swimming pool area. Still able to swim if you want and clean just a little more run down than the pictures. Still think this is a great option if you're planning to stay in Sukothai.

I still have one night to go. But our experience has been fantastic. We came with no expectation and were totally surprised with the beautiful property, the helpful staff and good food. The rooms are big and spacious. Bathrooms very clean. The property itself has a lotus pond at the centre and a rustic yet elegant vibe and feel. Look forward to tomorrow night and to try out the spa.

We loved our stay here and it was one of our favourite hotels on a 3 week tour of Thailand. Even before our arrival our correspondence with Poolsin was friendly and efficient and she kindly booked our buses and taxis which was incredibly helpful. The room/bathroom was very clean with lovely decor. The pool was a good size and temperature (surprised how cold some others were) and a welcome relief from the heat. Very good breakfast provided and they sell drinks, beers, ice creams to refresh you during the day/evening. The location was perfect for visiting the sites (hired bikes from the hotel). There’s a very pretty restaurant next door and others back towards the town only 10 minute walk. Definitely much better than the places we saw in the Main Street. Thank you for making our trip to Sukhothai perfect!

The hotel is well placed for the visit of the historic park, the possibility of parking its car or scooter. There is a swimming pool we have not tested. The room that gave on the pool is pleasant but a little small. The bathroom is not at the level and its lighting is poor. It is regrettable that the hotel does not offer any breakfast, even paying, because there is no business nearby. The benefits are very low and the contact with staff (too discreet) is limited. The price-quality ratio is not terrible, I prefer the Thai Thai hotel, more welcome and offering breakfast, it is near Vienna and shares the same direction.

Starting from walking into the door Like coming to a friend's house It's an ordinary door. It is probably as the name suggests, it is a guesthouse, there is a swimming pool like in the picture. The sitting area at the pool has both a pavilion and a bed. The pavilion is wooden, old and the wood decayed. There are many rooms here. Both bungalows and standard, we choose The bungalow without forgetting to see if breakfast is included or not. The bungalow room, the price does not include breakfast, but 1 confused why the standard room is cheap that it only includes breakfast If you want breakfast The extra costs 100 baht per person and it is just porridge / boiled rice, tea, coffee, fruit, bread, dessert, one thing. Personally in the bungalow room. The wood is quite old. Like not very caring Clean is ok There is no kettle, no tea and coffee, there is a refrigerator, no hair dryer. The water is not quite strong. But not very slow The water heater seems to be unable to adjust. The water is a little too warm. As for the standard room that a friend chose for I told the room to look damp. Smoke smell Other rooms do not know. But maybe it's just a friend's room This room does not have a refrigerator, the water flows slowly, the guesthouse has a seating area for groups. Looks dust Do not wipe clean If improving and taking care of it better, it will look pleasant to stay. The corridor floor is slippery. During the need to walk carefully. Because there is moss on it Maybe because the rainy season is understandable, but should keep scrubbing a little, it will be good. Service, staff are very good, attentive to customer support, speak well, accommodation here, no parking. You have to find a park in front of the guesthouse, should make a parking space for customers despite With many rooms But do not make parking for customers

Polite staff, even if there is a problem with documents from Trip.com reporting errors, do not match the reservation. We booked a room with a restaurant But the document specified does not include breakfast. Causing time to check in The room is clean, but there is 1 broken hood. Repaired by folding a large and half folded, not very neatly closed. Delicious crispy noodles can be bought home as a souvenir. Kind cook Arrange a vegetarian breakfast as informed.

We have stayed at a variety of accommodation types on our 12months of travels and this is the only one we walked away from due to the following reasons. 1. Appalling check in. 2. Aggressive manager 3. Lost trust in all staff We turned up to an empty hotel, nobody insight, we soon found out why. Booking.com details welcoming drinks, room service amongst other normal resort features however this doesn’t happen, to the point the check-in staff couldn’t be bothered to show us which room was ours. We understand being in Thailand not everybody speaks English but many Thai people can assist without speaking English, the Thai staff have no interest in wanting help and are happy to pretend they can’t so they don’t have to help. Commutation was through a translator on the phone, who eventually came down to answer some questions to which we found out was the manager. Meeting this guy is what lead is to feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, with his aggressive interruptions and careless manner, comparing the cost of England to the service he had provided, consisting telling us ‘I have served you, what else do you want?’ Our questions were, 1. Can you arrange a Tuk-Tuks into old town? 2. Do you provide bicycles? 3. Do you offer breakfast? Our questions were easy hotel like question when you have just arrived. To be fare to the hotel the room was beautiful and spacious, but the hotel surrounding are ugly and cold. After we decided to leave the hotel for other accommodation the manager said he would sort out a refund, this was an obvious lie and we have received no money back. We went Tharaburi Resort next door and our faith was restored into the kindness of Thia people.

After booking this hotel ( non refundable) I read the reviews on TripAdvisor with some concern. I am very happy to say that we had an excellent stay. The rooms are in good condition, showers have great water pressure, grounds are well maintained and the service was excellent. Breakfast was limited but quite adequate (and this may have to do with extremely low occupancy when we were here in off season). I am adding some photos as of June 2023. I agree that the hotel is quite a long way from all the sites. You will need a car. We hired a car after a recommendation from the hotel front desk. With a car we drove through numerous villages and had the freedom to explore not only Sukhothai but Si Satchanalai Historical Park also. Most sites are 30-40 minutes drive from the hotel.
