Called in advance about booking an adjoining room, this shouldn't be a problem so booked room. Called day before arrival to be told that this was now a problem and it had been booked to another family. Ok, these things happen. Room 1, had a noisy fan so at 3am, party of 3 are moved to a new room in 1 half of the adjoining room. Ah, so the adjoining room that they have has been allocated to a single booking. Great customer service. Meanwhile, in the other room, the heat is unbearable but with the window open the noise from the pub extract fans is also keeping us awake. Not noise from the pub goers, but from the constant extraction fans. Room 2 was moved to a room at the back of the hotel for the 2nd night, which was far quieter but meant that the family was split over two rooms and the adults messaging each other was not the weekend away we had planned, knowing that if the person we'd spoken to had arranged the adjoining room none of this would've happened. If you need an adjoining room, the hotel has only one and you might get it, or they might allocate half of it to another family, whilst half sits empty, poor customer service.
