I have just returned from Helena Park. I had a really nice time there. I had a lovely ensuite room with balcony, which was very quiet as per my request. The all inclusive package was great, with a good choice of food, with quality ingredients and the drinks were nice especially the draught Bulgarian pilsner. There are coffee machines dotted around the hotel with quality drinks available at any time, as I do like a cup of coffee! The Reception staff were very helpful, as I had an issue with my transfer (which was not of their doing at all) and a young lady called Natiya (probably messed that up!), was kind enough to solve the problem perfectly. I went to the UNESCO port of Nesebar for a day (which was so interesting and picturesque) and thanks to their help, just got the bus instead of a taxi, so had more money for a meal out. Flower Street was a pleasant walk along the beach road. I found Royal Helena's location perfect as I enjoy going out but also value peace and quiet and it was perfect to dip in and out. I spent a lot of time reading my kindle in the pretty, quiet gardens. I took care of my own room, but the ladies always offered when I saw them and they were efficient and kind. The weather was great at the end of September and I had a lovely first trip to Bulgaria, which is a modern yet historic Country. I have no hesitation recommending this hotel and hope to return next year.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had! Me and my partner stayed for a whole week, and everything was amazing! As an all inclusive hotell they really delivered. There was never a boring day because of the entertainment staff, they had alot of positive energi. They were really committed to the sosial activities! The hotell alone was at the perfect location, right by the beach. The hotell has a designated area at the beach for hotell guests only, which was great. The food, very tasty. A big variety of things to choose from. Would 10/10 visited again! Best regards, Barbie & Ken.

This was our 3rd stay and love this hotel so much we’ve already booked for next year. Let’s start with the good points, the hotel is spotless and the rooms are well equipped. The food is good always so much to choose from. The entertainment this year was the best the team were spot on and everyone was joining in from darts to dancing the hotel song around the pool, the team were good sports when they got pushed in the pool. So now the not so good, the lifeguard I have never met someone with such an attitude problem he threw the towel at us on the first day and would walk round like the guests we’re causing him issues because he had to work he would sit in the corner with I’m assuming his child most of the afternoon, the pool is freezing, and finally the hair dryer in the room is a waste of time take your own. Apart from the lifeguard all staff were amazing especially the barman in the top bar sorry can’t remember your name as my drinks were strong. You won’t be disappointed if you book here it’s about a 5 min walk into flower street and a flat walk.

Having just returned home to the isle man after 10 days in Helena Park i must say that we found the food to be excellent and the service from the staff 1st rate. I cant thank the staff on reception enough as my wife slipped and broke her arm and spent 3 days in the hospital. The reception staff assisted me with everything I required from booking extra nights, taxis to the hospital and to the airport as I had to arrange our own flights home. A word off warning to anyone booked with jet2 they have a no flight policy of 10 days if you have had a general anaesthetic which my wife had. I cannot recommend this place enough and have booked to return in the near future.

arrived at midnight to the hotel after a delay . shown to our room thought we would be able to get some snacks being all inclusive.. was told nothing available.. next morning we opened curtains to a view of a dumping area for broken furniture....ask for a different room, willing to pay for upgrade was told hotel full .. it was end of season it was most definitely not full ...all reception staff so rude and not helpful at all . basically told me where to go !!!... . everything else about this hotel was pretty good ..bar staff ,animation, dining room . cleaners all polite . we won't be back ..and that's a shame .the reception staff definitely let this hotel down . .

I must say this is probably the worst holiday I've had so far. On arriving at the hotel, the welcome was ok. The outside of the hotel certainly looks better than the inside, it very much resembles a residential home. The room was very basic, which was unexpected for a 5 star hotel. I ate at the restaurant and snack bar for the first 3 days of the holiday until I became extremely unwell and ended up being hospitalised due to the food I ate at this hotel. Almost all of the food was swimming in oil (even the soup), it was barely edible. The doctor was horrific, threatening my partner and I whilst visiting me in my room. He was there for 5 minutes before deciding I needed hospital treatment and demanded 200 lev (£100) for this. When I asked him for a receipt he went crazy and tried ripping my money out of my hand. The cleaners and animation team were friendly, the rest of staff were not. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who cares for their gut health and good customer service.

Was recommended to try this hotel and I was very happy with my stay. Travelled with Jet2 Holidays for 8 nights in early September in a double room for sole use. Excellent support from all staff. Had a problem finding my room on arrival and a member of reception staff came with me to make sure I did find it. The main Buffet Restaurant is self service but the Waiting Staff were always willing to help and to bring something of requested. I liked that the food was less "English Abroad" and had a clear Balkan style. Plenty of choices at all meals. Some of the best hotel soups that I have tasted. Occasionally, I chose to use the "snack" area for lunch and must say that this is a cut above the usual food you would expect and, again, with a good selection if you don't want the full "lunch" menu in the main restaurant. The hotel has a definite Balkan Style in the public spaces which was fine for me and I would not want it to be changed. My room was well decorated, well maintained, clean and bright overlooking the swimming pool. Small mini-bar and (free) Safe. Entertainment staff work hard and are welcoming but leave you alone if you just want a rest. So easy to get around using the local buses (bus stops outside hotel) and low cost. My fare back from Nessebar Old Town to the hotel was 3 Lev (less than £1.50). Reception staff a big help with information about bus times. Easy access through the sister hotel to the "promenade" which goes down to the main part of Sunny Beach. Helena has a private section of the vast sandy beach. Overall I had no complaints. The Hotel Manager and Senior Staff are visible throughout the day and are approachable if needed. Check the facilities for yourself and, if it has what you want for a holiday - book it. I think it is a good standard, very good value for money and I will be there again.

The hotel was really nice, food good rooms excellent. What makes the hotel is the Animation Team, who go all out to ensure everyone has a great time. They are a credit to the hotel. Only negative was the resort we felt that service was not as good as other resorts. That may be because we went at the end of the season but it’s worth noting.

We are currently half way through our holiday here at Helena Park, returning after a brilliant time here last year. The Helena is rated 4*+ & in my opinion, it's fairly rated. The building itself is immaculate & also has very well maintained gardens & a good size pool area with plenty of sunbeds. We're not sun worshipers who could lay in the sun all day but if we were then we would've had no problem in getting a bed as there's always been plenty available. The hotel rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable, there's ample storage, 2 decent size beds pushed together to form a super king size, a two seater sofa & a dressing table chair In front of a mirror. There's also plenty of lighting, bedside cabinets & a flat screen TV. The bathroom is also a good size with a deep bath & overhead shower & nice free toiletries. The balcony is also a good size complete with a table & 2 chairs. We have a fab view on the 5th floor. The beds are Very comfy & we've both had a good sleep every night, however the beds are very low to the ground which I'm not a fan of. The cleaner has been very pleasant & has kept the room well. The buffet restaurant is large & comfortable & the waiting staff have been pleasant & efficient in asking for our drinks orders & clearing away plates. There is a huge variety of food options on all 3 servings & there's definitely something there for even the fussy eaters out there. It's always been well cooked however this year, like others have mentioned we have found that the temperature of the food hasn't been the best & sometimes it was only luke warm. My 1 & only criticism of the Helena Park is that there is no comfortable outdoor seating where you could truly relax in comfort with a nice cold drink. The seats outside are all hard wicker type chairs with no cushions or if you want to sit in the shaded area next to the restaurant then the seats there are the old wooden restaurant chairs, again without any cushions. This would be an easy fix & something I really hope they amend. The hotel itself is in a great location at the top end of Sunny Beach on the way to St Vlas, away from all the hustle and bustle but right on the promenade & it's a nice pleasant walk of 20 mins or so into the centre of it all. You also pass loads of nice bars/restaurants & endless cheap shops along the way. I'm 53 & my wife 47 & we find this hotel perfect for us, there's a good mixture of nationalities stay here, a lot around our age group & older with the added bonus of not a lot children. I highly recommend the Helena Park, we are already booked up again for next September & can't wait. I just really hope that the Helena finally please please please give us some comfortable outdoor chairs to really relax on. 😁
