Very residential feel to this hotel, as it's like an apartment community. Not too far off of the highway, and a little drive to shops and restaurants. Be aware, if you choose an upstairs room, you will need to go up a flight stairs, no elevator. The fitness center is upstairs of the clubhouse, and there are laundry facilities onsite. You can download an app to pay for laundry if you don't have coins. There may be a charge for soap and fabric softener at the front desk. Full-size fridge and oven and the kitchen has dishes and silverware. Bar counter that you can sit at, as well as a small desk area. Bed is comfy with 4 pillows. This is a nice place. An outdoor pool and basketball court.

This is a 4.5 star review is for THIS CATEGORY of hotels. This isn't the Ritz or Four Seasons, nor is it a Westin or Hyatt or even a regular Marriott. With that said, I'm comparing this to Fairfield Inn & Suites, TownPlace Suites, Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, LaQuinta Inn & Suites, etc during March 2022 while we are still coming out of a pandemic. Pro: Close to SJC 900+ square feet Laundry on site $1.75/$1.50 (coin operated is cheaper than using the app, front desk has quarters) Breakfast M-F is hot. SS grab n GO (March 2022, this might be pandemic related) Fitness center 24/7 (cardio and free weights) Arranged like townhouses, each building has 4 units, 2 on street level, 2 upper level. Penthouses include upstairs loft bdrm/bath Coffee daily (Starbucks) Filtered water at front desk dispenses cold and hot We were in penthouse suite which is on 2nd floor walk up (3rd floor is the loft bdrm + bath), parking was right next to the unit Parking $12/night Driving distance less than 10min from so many places (Levi stadium, Great America, Top Golf, Mountain View, Santa Clara) and all major freeways Front desk staff is great, addressed me by name each time and friendly & professional Less than 5 minutes from Whole Foods Santa Clara, which is an Amazon delivery hub so you can ship stuff directly there and they'll hold it for about 2 weeks. Con Floors thump if you're on street level If your building is against the highway, you'll hear some highway noise, bring earplugs. Stairs to loft are not regulation size, almost ladder size so can easily slip down if you have socks and misstep (we know from experience) Shower door would not stay closed during shower Fry pans but no spatula The pullout sofa bed was the absolute worst sofa bed, you could feel the coils on your back, we had to buy an air mattress. Despite the cons, we really liked the drive up to your unit setup (vs a hotel), it felt like living in a townhouse, we hardly saw other guests, and the location for us was perfect, this was our home base for 4 nights and I would stay here again.

Clean and easy access, plenty of good parking. the only thing I would recommend is to have paper plates so we can take a muffin to the room and better creamer in rooms since we were staying in outer building. Beds were very comfy. Good breakfast options! Seemed to be safe area as well with many amenities accessible.

Stayed here for a few nights to attend a concert at the Shoreline Amphitheater. Picked Avante because it was reasonably priced and close by. The rooms were clean and super cute (there was even a rocking chair!!), however the only issue we had was that the bathroom door didn’t close completely because it wasn’t put on correctly. It ended up not being a dealbreaker because the door still closed and stayed closed, but you couldn’t lock it if you wanted to.

I have stayed one night twice in this location. First stay, the FOH was getting trained, focus was on checking me in the computer. Second visit, quick check in process, friendly staff, forgot to write my room number nor mention it to me, good thing I saw in app after parking. $18 on site parking either open next to hotel entrance, or in a gated covered lot. The room has a modern look with the vanity separating the bedroom and bathroom. The 1 king bed room has frosted walls/doors with no locks for the shower and toilet, not a fan of the frosted look because it does not look clean for me. The vanity had motion sensor lights on the bottom. The shower has both a shower head and has a rainfall shower system - pressure was both appropriate, strong for the shower head, moderate for the rainfall. Behind the vanity, facing the bed was a floor to almost the ceiling mirror - still don’t know how I feel about this haha. I do like the modern feel. The bed felt comfy. The room could be cleaner. There were some hair strands next to toilet and there were a couple under the duvet. There was a green stain on the water flush and a dried visible stain on the counter by the sink - we typically bring cleansing wipes to clean our room regardless but cleanliness definitely could be better. Great sized tv and desk available as a working space. Side note: it’s right next to 10 Butcher’s which is an upscale kbbq place pricey but yummy!👍

We went to see the 49 ers preseason game and my husband booked this room. Although we checked in pretty late and when we got to our room there were two ants in the bathroom by the shower tub, I told my husband and he said babe let’s go get something to eat so we left and went to get pizza and wings, when we got back we were eating and went took a shower fell asleep. My husband woke up at 6 am a turn the light on and wakes me up to tell me that the table is covered in ants and our food and clothes omg I was so pist off and called down to the front desk the lady said her manager was not there and to call back Monday. My husband was taking a shower and I told hi. He went down stairs to the front desk and told the lady about our room being infested with ants , she basically told him manger was not there so he got pist and told the lady look your telling me i have to wait in the room that’s infested with ants until 12 noon I don’t think so, she gave him a different room and said we’ll you’ll have to talk to the manager on Monday he said she was rude . We were able to get a different room and went to eat breakfast which was excellent and after that we went swimming in the pool it was very nice .overall, the hotels is a very nice quiet place we will definitely stay there again , but we will talk to the manager about our situation

Excellent
AAnonymous UserVery comfortable, spacious room, very clean.
The parking environment downstairs is also very good.
The breakfast is good, and there is also coffee at the front desk during non-meal time.
The location is good, it takes about 20 minutes to drive to other cities in the Bay Area, which can be said to be in the middle.
I highly recommend staying here for business trips, and it is cost-effective.
SSophie LForced to book this hotel for one night, cause hotels were all fully booked on this day in Mountain View and Palo Alto, this is the only hotel that still have a few space. Now I realize why only this hotel still has some available rooms, my room has super strong cheap fragrance smell, they thought you will enjoy this odor, I had to leave window open all night. The housekeeping crew are all Hispanic women who don’t understand even the simplest English, the bathroom light switches are so complicated, hard to switch the 200W light to 100W light in bathroom, asked the housekeeping maids who happened to be around, none of them understand the words “dark, darker, too bright......” finally we went to the front desk receptionist who are also Hispanic and did the translation, she’s the only recetionist in the day shift. The toilet is broken, couldn’t flush, a repair man came to fix it, but later it couldn’t flush, it only streams very slowly. And this hotel has the check out time at 11AM. This hotel uses refillable big bottle of shampoo, shower gel, and refill them after each stay, if you don’t share using these stuff normally, bring your own.
GGuest UserThis is a great place to stay if you are fussy on cleanliness! The staff, are friendly, helpful, kind and caring. Shey and Jesi are 2 staff members l got to know, all, are more than accommodating!! A very enjoyable experience, clean, safe and quiet. I have already booked this hotel for friends that will be coming to visit. The pool and jacuzzi are a great place for some down time! Thanks to all the staff for creating/maintaining this wonderful place!!
GGuest UserGreat place to stay for any event at Levi Stadium. Clean, modern, and the staff is fantastic. Extremely helpful with all your needs, including destination needs. gave out great advice on getting to and from the stadium.
SShelbieRae89The staff are so friendly and truly do care about your needs or concerns. The beds were the best I've ever experienced at a hotel! We slept like angels, even our son slept through the night. The only downfall is the parking lot being small but there's nothing they can do about that.
Definitely home away from home!
GGuest UserI was here to help a friend move, so I was gone all day and dirty and tired when I returned. I should have found a new place after my first night. I checked in about 9pm and was halfway unpacking in my TINY queen room when I saw a bunch of dead bugs on the floor. I was moved to a king room which meant I was able to actually walk around the bed. I asked for daily housekeeping because I knew I'd need lots of towels and coffee supplies. One day housekeeping didn't even come, and the other days they never refilled everything in the room that I needed. I got lots of apologies from the front desk staff, but they didn't have the supplies, either. The hallway carpet was disgusting. I was told it had just been put in, but it clearly hadn't been vacuumed after installation, if that was even true. It wasn't vacuumed the entire 5 nights I was there and just got more and more gross looking. No refrigerator in the room. The bar isn't open. The fitness center looked nice but I didn't use it. I called after returning home because they had billed the wrong credit card. I was told both managers were gone - at 3:30 pm. The hotel is near a nice downtown area with excellent food choices. I'll find a better place to stay when I visit again
FFENGLEIThe hotel rooms are large in size, well equipped, with sofas, desks, very good hygiene, towels and sheets are white and unpretentious. The surrounding area is surrounded by roads, there are not many places to walk, and there are not many commercial facilities. The hotel itself has a small swimming pool and gym.
GGuest UserThe stay at DAYS INN & SUITS BY WYNDHAM SUNNYVALE was just such a horrible experience. When I arrived at 8:00pm, the lobby was closed and there was no one at the lobby. It had a sign that says ”We will be back in 15 minutes.” It was raining and cold so I called the number on the sign. It went to a voicemail in Spanish. I waited for 20 minutes and the desk clerk JULIO finally showed up. JULIO was very RUDE. No greeting. No apology. I asked him where I could get the free breakfast. He said ”NO BREAKFAST!” I told him that it was on the website. He just said, ”THE WEBSITE IS WRONG!” Well, if it's wrong, FIX IT! I chose this place because it had breakfast! Around 9:00pm, I had a question so I went to the lobby. The door was closed AGAIN with the same ”Be back in 15 minutes” sign. After I waited for another 20 minutes, JULIO showed up and said, ”What?” That's not how you treat customers! When I was checking out, the lobby was closed again with the sign. I've stayed in many places but this was the first time that the desk clerk was ALWAYS gone! I couldn't return the key and there were other customers trying to find the desk clerk too. I just gave the key to the maid nearby. Apparently, I see on the website that there are A LOT of customers having similar horrible experiences. The owner is responding to all reviews but they are NOT changing anything. That really tells us that they DON'T care about customers. Owner, if you are saying that you are disappointed, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! I should have read the customer reviews before booking... It was supposed to be a fun trip for me but it just ruined my trip. I completely lost trust with Days Inn & Suites. I will report this to the Days Inn & Suites corporate.
