Best Hotels near Ho Phut That Tham Khot, Surat Thani

These B2 hotels are just amazing: great value for money. This one is conveniently located in the center of Surat Thani (walking distance from many Bib Gourmand Michelin rated restaurants).

The hotel is clean and new and inexpensive. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Location is great - home pro is right next door, central shopping mall and Tesco lotus is just 5mins drive away. Diving to the city is about 15-30mins depending on traffic. Breakfast comes in set (different wraps and hot beverages to choose from). Stayed at the presidential suite with breakfast paid only 2800thb for 2 nights after deducting trip coins. Room is spacious and clean. Would stay here again!

Come relax here. You'll get a bit of a headache when checking in. After that, you don't have to think too much. Eat and travel with peace of mind. Seafood is good. It's just that the taste of most food tends to be sweet. You have to choose the menu carefully.

We stayed here a couple of nights. Check-in was quick and easy, the room clean, and the bed comfortable. We had the included breakfast the first morning and it was fine, the lady working in there kept everything in order and was cleaning up as needed. There is one thing however, it's not really a negative and it didn't effect my final score but there isn't much to see in the general area and it can be difficult finding transportation if you are out walking.

The hotel is about three kilometers away from the airport, and the surrounding area is deserted, but the overall feeling of the hotel is that it is in a corner of its own, simple, artistic and clean. The courtyard is not big, so it is natural and warm. There were geckos in the room, which is understandable in the suburbs. The restaurant provides three meals a day, with a small variety of food but good taste and reasonable prices. The service is very good and the staff are very hospitable. If you have any needs, you can communicate with the front desk and they will do their best. Because of their sincerity, we had a smooth journey these days.

The accommodation looks good from the photos and the outside looks good. But when actually staying, let's go to the way. Family room The space in the room is wide, but the room layout is not good. The TV and the mattress are in different angles. If you want to watch TV, you have to come out and sit and watch. There are chairs to sit, not a sofa, you have to sit and watch. The TV takes at least 30 minutes to turn on. It takes no less than 30 minutes to turn on. Can't change the channel. Adjust the sound or anything at first, I thought that the remote control was all charcoal. When trying to turn off the plug and turn off the new TV The remote control can be used for 5 minutes. Can't return to use the same, the air conditioner is not cold, the air conditioner remote control cannot be adjusted. The mattress and blanket are dusty. Go sneeze to it, the water system in the bathroom has not been serious. The water flows a little bit. Whoever thinks to wash your hair, don't. The hot water is hot and cold. The temperature is unstable. The room can hear the sound from the outside, including the sound of cars running, walking, people talking, opening and closing the door. Fortunately, only slept for 1 night.

We had to spend just one night before taking the ferry at good time the next morning and we chose this hotel . Super !!! Not disappointed !!! The hotel is very well placed ! The hotel is very clean and very clean. anyone who has stayed at a Hop Inn knows the story; the rooms are small, clean, modern, and well maintained, selling value as a main draw. they've added a breakfast to this one, the first one set up that way, according to my son (not such a great reference, but we've stayed in others and never saw that). the breakfast is pretty basic, coffee (which they already had), an instant version of orange juice, toast, fried eggs, and basic congee, but it works as a light bite to eat to start the day. oddly the cost didn't increase for adding that; it's still in the 650 baht range, quite inexpensive. they should probably add a bit of depth to the breakfast and include it as an option, adding a fee, since otherwise it's coming straight out of their profit, but it's a good enough set of aspects acting as a draw that maybe it keeps them more full. location is fine related to nearby shopping but I would imagine it's more for travelers passing through, or people actually staying in Surat. there's a go-kart place right beside it that was pretty cool, with really advanced karts at minimal cost. if you travel through with kids you should check if timing works out to do some laps there.

I'm sure at one time this was a four-star hotel. The decor is lovely, the rooms are neat and clean, the beds are very good but the amenities are lacking. the rooms provide a pot to make hot water and coffee cups to go with it but no coffee or tea is available. The only soap for a shower were the small standard bars of soap no body wash or gel as is customary here. There was shampoo however. As we walked about last night we noticed that there was a large restaurant and entertainment venue along the river but it looked like it had been closed for many months. Breakfast this morning was the worst that I have had in Thailand. We had to select from a menu when we came in yesterday and I expected to go down to a restaurant and eat but it was delivered this morning to our door and all of the food was cold, especially the eggs which I abhor. I don't remember the price difference between a room with or without breakfast or even if there was a price difference but this was a poor attempt at any kind of breakfast. I am very disappointed. Lastly, I will say that the views are very nice and we are on the highest floor, the sixth floor period with a view of the river and downtown Surat Thani.

Hubby and I stopped in Surathani in transit to our next destination. 2 nights which was enough for us to rest after a day travelling and to check out this famous transit point on our way yo Railay. We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel was a street back off the the Ta Pi River Esplanade and a short walk from our bus drop off (Phan theep Transfers) arriving from Koh Tao (we purchased a ferry and minivan combo ticket. Excellent option. We try to opt for easy and not expensive, easy first preference). Hotel is on a corner and has artificial grass in front of hotel entrance. You can't miss it. Hotel is well presented, clean, staff friendly, good sized room and hot water. The bed was a little hard, lets say a coin will probably bounce off it easily, but to our surprise, even though the mattress and pillows were firm, we didn't wake up with a sore back, so pretty much ok. We were on the 4th floor and hardly any noise from traffic below even with all the traffic noise. It was a Thai public holiday as they were celebrating the anniversary of the late kings death( 13th October). Colourful and ornated floats along the Esplanade and down the main street of the hotel. The floats were spectacular with monks showering everyone with water blessings. Heaps of food stalls. The air-conditioning was a pain, as with many in Resorts and hotels. For some reason, they dont work according to the temp setting and fan speed. Turned up to 27 degrees on lowest fan setting and it was still cold in the room. If you turned it off, it too hot. We slept with heads at foot of bed so the cold air didn't hit our face. What do you do, its sane same mostly everywhere. Unfortunately no kettle and tea/coffee facility in room. They do have this available in lobby from 5 to 10am only for free. There are coffee shops outside hotel though especially Mary's Cafe. Another disappointment for us, cause we are veggos and western, they don't provide breakfast and we couldn't find Western food that suited us non meat and Asian palette. Plenty of Thai food but we didnt like that for breaky. We walked over to the otherside of the river to their sister hotel CBD Hotel 2, as they served breaky so we purchased a buffet style for 150 baht each. You can opt to stay here also if you wish. Its right on the river and about 15 minute walk. Wasnt an issue walking there because on the way stopped of at the City Shrine and walked around Koh Lamphu Park ( a health park and well worth a visit. Its an island accessible by bridge. Views of the River also. We are early birds so plenty of time before breaky). Fruit for lunch was enough but there is a little Thai Vegan restaurant (another lucky find. Turn left exiting the hotel and down that road opposite the fire station). But only open to about 1pm we think. There is another hotel that includes breakfast near the River on and sane side as CBD hotel called Harbour Front but no idea what the rooms are like or reviews. We chose CBD due to the reviews
