Very nice experience booking hotel using trip.com. Very nice and clean hotel also my family love it

I stayed with my family. It is a boat transfer. You can communicate with local SIM here, but if you support it with WIFI, it will be almost unconnected. If you walk along the pier from the dock, you will find the front desk of the hotel. The pier is divided on the left when entering the island. If you walk on the left side, there is a cottage about ６ building, and the stairs are down from the cottage and you can enter the sea. I couldn't swim immediately because I went at low tide this time, but I was able to swim at high tide near the evening and everyone was swimming with a lot of fun. Meals are eaten in the dining building while coming from the dock to the hotel. There is a karaoke building next to the dining building where you can karaoke while drinking alcohol. There is nothing around and it is a little far from the hotel, so you can enjoy it without bothering you even if it is noisy. This time it was one night, but I would like to stay for two nights to spend a relaxing time.

Aside for the accidental double booking that was not reversed by trip com , pretty good affordable hotel . The aircon is new and not noisy which is rare . Hinatuan is an interesting town to stay at for sure .

WARNiNG!! DONT BOOK for THIS SCAMMERS!! We booked a room for 3 people (as it says sleeps 3 for one room) for August 2023 for one night only because we have flight in the morning. I’ve asked for the agent to change my name to my husband’s as I will be late for few hours and I was the one who booked them so I should show my passport and bank card. The agent changed it to my husband’s name and put my son’s name and didn’t include my name! And when ive complaint about it the hotel asked me for a payment of 2500 gbp extra!! Is something wrong with their heads or what?? Then they denied that in Hotel.com website says that the room sleeps 3. They said they only do 2. Then telling me that my son is 14 so he is not allowed in the room. Told them when I’ve booked, it asked me for my son’s age and there was no problem. Anyway I’ve ready all their policy and there was nothing indicating 18 years old above. What disgusting people!!!

The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. Close to SM Mall and not too far from Butuan Airport. The staff are all friendly and the rooms are clean. Accommodation is also cheap compared to the surrounding area, so it is good value for money. Breakfast and coffee are provided for free and I have made three return visits.

Do not ever bother to waste your time or money on staying at a hotel with office staff as rude,arrogant,abusive as the office staff that are employed by GO hotels at this Butuan location, at approximately 1500 hrs or 3 PM Thursday 11 th of August 2022 my Filipino wife attempted to check our family of three into the PWD available rooms that GO hotels advertise, as i myself is a gentleman of 24/7 in a wheelchair, upon approaching the checkin dest at this GO hotel Butuan my wife was immediately attacked verbally by the rude arrogant office staff at this hotel, accusations at my wife of such outstanding completely ridiculous accusations of such things such as ” you are a trouble maker ” you ” are not welcome here ” you ” make complaints about us ” WTH ??? About 3 and a half years ago we did stay at this GO hotel Butuan on a journey to another destination a long time before covid lockdown, these GO hotel staff are racist plus anti PWD people as also i myself am a Reverend minister in a charity o religious organization, finally a Minor office lackey told my now upset stressed angry wife ” you can stay one night but the next night we are fully booked out you must go away ” well this person of low IQ is now playing lord and ruler over my wife and our family, my wife then consulted myself and with the Lords guidance we declaired that if this is the atertude of GO hotel Butuan then they can keep it and bo not need our money, we then proceeded to locate a far better and cheaper that nights hotel, thank you GOHotel Butuan for showing the general public of Philippines what rude,arrogant,racist,anti PWD, sexist staff that are employed by GO hotels at there butuan location, i fully believe GO hotels Butuan should be blacklisted until complete rude arrogant office staff have been preschool in public PR or better still all replaced except for the very helpful doormen, God bless and forgive the GO hotel Butuan office staff for there evilness.
