I highly recommend the George Point Inn, located around the corner from Surrey Memorial Hospital and walking distance to the train station. It was recently remodeled so the accommodations are very nice. We booked a two-bedroom/one-bathroom suite (Room 110) on the ground floor with a kitchen (full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, hot water kettle, coffeemaker, toaster, silverware, plates, cups, glasses, and cookware). The living room has a loveseat, a tv, three chairs, and a kitchen table that fits 3. The beds are comfortable, both closets come with hangers, and there is a multi-hook coat rack by the door. Parking is free and we were always able to get a space just steps from our room. There are vending machines and a washer and dryer on-site and the front desk is open 24/7. Room 110 is located toward the rear of the motel, so there was very little noise from busy King George Blvd. The cost was very reasonable and there are discounted rates for stays longer than 6 days. The bathroom has a tub/shower instead of a walk-in shower and that can be challenging for mobility-challenged guests. It can also get noisy when people go up and down the stairs and the walls are thin enough that loud talkers from other rooms can sometimes be overheard. Room 110 is recommended for one adult and two children or two adults. Any more than that and it could feel overcrowded.
