The hotel has excellent location, just few minutes walk to the old town. You can easily rent an electric motorbike for 50 yuans/24 hour (plus deposit of 300 yuans, no ID required) to run around the city, visiting other places like gardens, museums, temples).

The gated hotel is a co-op made up of restored and new buildings, a restaurant, and a spa, but nothing over 3 stories. There are numerous restaurants once you leave the grounds -- go west. Get the breakfast buffet, it is worth it! The tourist center is a block west and next to the Grand Canal. Go there, and ask the nice young lady how to get around. The hotel will give you change for the bus. The police and information will help you in the metro. Be sure to walk up and down the canal, enjoy people watching, especially the young ladies dressed and made up in beautiful period piece costumes. You can rent one yourself if you wish to participate. Most of the tourist sights are within walking distance, including the Humble Administer's Garden and the sanpan ride on the canal. The hotel also has a nightly cruise sign up. If you want to see a panda, you'll have to go to the Taihu Wetland Park -- it's about 30 km from the hotel. You can get there by cab or public transportation.

Great location, stone throw away from Pingjiang Road and easy transport to local famous tourist attractions. Friendly staff, great service, willing to help. Of course don't expect everyone knows English. The only downside is also location. Difficulty to call taxi during rush hour cos no one wants to drive this crazy congested road.

Convenient located right next to the busy ping jiang road with lots of attractions and shops. One down side is the massive jam at its doorstep during most hours.. if you’re willing to endure that then this place is excellent.

Very nicely located next to Panjiang Road. Staff were polite, the breakfast was nice and the hotel combines traditional Chinese architecture including gardens with modern style. Would stay again.

I don't know if it was because they were not familiar with the business or deliberately deceived. Then the design of this bathroom is really terrible. There is a restaurant in the hotel, the dishes are very good, and you can also listen to Pingtan. I thought it was close to Pingjiang Road and Humble Administrator's Garden, so it was okay if it was old. The moment I entered the hotel, I realized that I was narrow-minded. From the service to the facilities, it was great~ The little brother also upgraded me to a VIP room in the cinema. You know, it was so happy to hide from the typhoon~ How about breakfast? It was okay. It was quite rich. It was difficult to call a taxi nearby, and the traffic jam was particularly serious. You can take a rickshaw on Pingjiang Road next to it and walk around the old alley while listening to the driver telling stories. It was very pleasant.
