It was an exceptionally wonderful experience. The dinner was sublime, and the service very friendly. We stayed overnight, and our room was just perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. Our expectations were very high, but the experience surpassed our expectations - including seeing a barn owl fly over our heads!

We were gifted a voucher for a midweek stay and we amended to include dinner. The setting by the river is gorgeous. Our room was slightly disappointing as the only frosted window looked out on a roof above a courtyard. There was no chair and nowhere to put anything! The shower room was minute and sitting on toilet was a squash! And we did not realise this from the booking as all the rooms on website seemed bigger! There are beautiful gardens, the kitchen garden was amazing and we were looking forward to eating lots of wonderful vegetables! However, even though the meal was delicious ( we had venison) , each plate had 2 small garden onions and a couple of small pieces of savoy cabbage which was rather disappointing, we would have loved more. And to get extra veg would have incurred a surcharge which I feel is wrong. The dessert of strawberries and meringue tuiles was delicious! We cannot fault the service from all of the staff and the cocktails were sublime!!

Had lunch at the inn with my elderly mother and little boy and was amazed at the standards of the inn. I grew up on the isle of Sheppey so have visited many times over the years and it always on ok place to go, this was my first time back for probably 5 years as I have now moved from the area and was amazed at how the place has came on. The Harty Ferry (as we always called it) was always set in an idilic location being very close to the Swale estuary but they have now transformed the venue to higher levels, the pub was pretty much the same as it has always been which is very quaint but immaculately kept and very clean, but it was the food that really surprised me, myself and my mum had the pickled crudités with Kent rarebit and skin on chips and it was honestly the best thing I’d eaten in ages (& I consider myself a restaurant standard cook) with the marmalade sponge for desert, with my little boy having the small house burger and fries and double ice cream, the food is absolute knock out & the fact that all ingredients are sourced locally if not on site is a massive plus also, very friendly staff who were also very attentive, small issue with being charged for a couple of drinks we didn’t have but was sorted straight away and very apologetically refunded but in my opinion completely understandable as they was also hosting a large wedding party at the time. This place is a true hidden gem, seek it out and enjoy, it’s really worth it.

Following our amazing wedding at the Ferry House on 4th May our family and friends stayed behind for what we were promoting as the best Sunday lunch in Kent and they weren’t disappointed! Always fantastic food and great options for the gluten free and various allergies our group had. Staff always happy to help. Friends even returned the following week for the afternoon tea as they loved the venue so much. Can’t wait to come back.

First time at the Ferry House in and it won’t be the last. The most perfect experience that included food, drinks and service. Lovely view and a nice kitchen garden to walk around. A perfect venue and well worth the long drive. Highly recommended.

We went to the Ferry House Inn for lunch on a Saturday with friends. We all chose from the small plate menu. 3 out of the 4 of us had never been before. As on my previous visits, Amber was our waitress - excellent service from her throughout our whole meal and very knowledgeable about the food and dishes. She also talked us through other options for dinning on a Sunday and their evening menu. Very helpful. Food was outstanding and I love the small plate ordering of 2 to 3 dishes each. Perfect portion sizes and the food was delicious. Will definitely be going back again. The setting is also gorgeous and plenty of room to sit outside if the weather is good.

Well worth the beautiful trip over to the tip of Sheppey. The venue, food and service was top notch. Couldn’t fault it. You can then walk around the gardens where they grow the produce used in the restaurant which was beautiful and amazingly free from pest damage!! lol. How do you do that??!!

Popped to the Ferry House for one of our Wedding planning meetings and thought it would be the perfect excuse for a date night. Absolutely delicious food with the perfect views and incredible staff. We always feel very looked after at The Ferry House, it's one of the main reasons for choosing it for our special day. Last night was no different, waiting staff were very friendly and helpful with answering our questions about the menu. The food was perfect, the menu is small but we still struggled to choose as everything sounded amazing and we were not disappointed with our choices. We love that everything is grown on site or locally sourced. We were even able to wander round the gardens to see where some of the produce is grown.
