This pub is one of those where if you’re local, you’re welcome and if you aren’t, the big blonde bird behind the counter asks you loads of questions and you feel like it’s a police interview. Bar staff are possibly catty. Didn’t get a good vibe from the big blonde bird. Food is average, customer service is not great. Probably best to drive to Buckminster.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. It is off the beaten track but easy to find with GPS. The food was very good. The service was very good and the manageress was the most pleasant person you could wish to meet.

The room had everything we needed, from chocolate biscuits to a hair dryer. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. The shower was fantastic. The staff in the pub were very friendly, which was also clean with a good selection of drinks

We had a fantastic meal here today. Mother’s Day special dinner . We were a party of 3 and had roast beef, pan fried chicken and salmon between us. Followed by chocolate brownie, almond tart and homemade rice pudding. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious, served with a smile and a great price. We will definitely return .

Drank in here today, really friendly atmosphere with, some really great characters around bar who are more than welcoming. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely call in when next passing
