Hotels near Daqing, Taichung

Near the train and bus station which is convenient to travel to tourist places like Sun moon lake. But it is a distance away from the famous Feng chia night market. It will take about 30mins bus ride and the bus frequency is low ( waiting time up to 30mins). The room is small for 2 pax but for the price I would say it is reasonable.

If check-in process becomes fully automated, the personal touch for service will deem to be as cold as a robot, and may spoilt the mood for traveller whenever we wish to ask questions about travel activities. Next, after office hours, the shutter roller of the front counter is closed, hence there will be no access to water dispenser. Maybe hotel should consider to install a water dispenser for stayers to refill water, etc

Location: It located infront local train Taichung not hsr taichung. But it is very easy to access using local train from hsr taichung/Xinwuri to local train taichung. A lot of convenience store nearby and two vegetarian shops located near the hotel the other one just at a corridor beside the hotel. Amenities: give some tea and coffee. Water heater provides. Hair dryer provided. Towels provided. Some self service can take from counter one time use shaver, toothbrush and toothpaste, indoor shoes. Walking distance from Taichung station. They provide basic amenities, water dispenser, hairdryer available. The room also spacious. Minor: checkin at 17:00! This should be illegal. And the max checkout time is at 11:00. My mistake I didn’t check the checkin time before i booked. By the time i realise, i cannot cancel my booking already. They don’t provide room cleaning. They instructed me to take out my own trash if it’s full inside the room. If you want room cleaning, they will ask for payment.

Really have a pleasant stay in DDinn 👍🏻👍🏻 The hotel is kinda near to the train station and can be reached by walking distance. You can find different famous locations around the hotel e.g., Miyahara. Highly recommended! Will definitely come back again when I’m in Taichung.

Location is very very good, but bed and pillows are the worst ever! I could not sleep because the mattress springs were literally in my back, pillow very bad. Also, the check in until really really late, this means, for example, that in the dorm I was, at midnight we were 3, and at 4 AM we were 7! 4 people arrived during the night and even if they've been very respectful, still 4 people make some noise. Bed curtains need to be changed, I had the chill from the a/c direct on me. Receptionists are very very helpful, kind and speak a good English!

The accommodation is not as bad as expected after reading the Google reviews. At this price, the quality of the accommodation environment is considered to be 4.5 stars. There is nothing to be picky about.

The hotel's front desk service is very good. There is a water dispenser and biscuits and tea bags in the lobby. Free earplugs are also provided, which is suitable for people who are light sleepers and are afraid of noise. The refrigerator is clean, cold enough and has no odor, making it convenient to ice drinks. The shampoo and shower gel are made from ”herbs collected in the mountains”. I won't say much about the quality. It's absolutely easy to use. It doesn't feel frizzy after washing. A hotel at this price is willing to use it so well. The spare parts are really eye-opening for me! The room was very clean, the corners were carefully swept, the mirror glass was not stained, and the towels and sheets looked new! The air conditioner is not a central air conditioner. You can adjust the temperature by yourself. It doesn't make any noise and there is no smell of smoke. It's great. There is WiFi in every room, and the speed is stable and there is no problem in transferring photos. The TV even has YouTube to watch, so you don’t have to worry about being bored if you stay in the room and do nothing XD Although the hotel does not have a parking lot attached, it is easy to park on the roadside nearby, and there are also parking lots around. The location is good, there is a night market behind it, and there are a lot of choices for breakfast outside the door!

Clean is small but super clean and comfy. Breakfast choice was good and changed every day throughout the entire 3 days of stay. The additional plus point would be the free laundry room at Ground Floor which you can wash for your clothes and dry them free. Staffs are polite and kind to assist you with any enquires that you have. All in all, a pleasant stay at City Inn Hotel (Taichung) and would return again for the same hotel the next trip. Lastly kudos to staff - Emma who has helped to maintain the cleanliness of Room 701 throughout the entire 3 days. Appreciate your effort. Thank you 😊
