Si Anping by Hotel Si

Staying for three nights, I found it a bit inconvenient. There's no kettle in the room, so I had to take the elevator down to the ground floor to get hot water. It would be great if there was an instruction manual to understand how to operate the TV. The sauna room was never open during my three-day stay! There was hair found in the large towel! On the plus side, the room is spacious and the price is good. There are dining options within a 500m walk, and Anping Fort is very close, making it easy to visit on foot for half a day.

I booked this hotel specifically for its beautiful swimming pool, and the room was fantastic too! The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and having two bathrooms in a quad room was a huge plus. The weekday rate was also really good value for money. I'd love to stay here again if I get the chance! ❤️

I think my terrible impression of Tainan is partly due to this hotel. Firstly, its location is extremely remote. It took me 40 minutes to get here from the High-Speed Rail station by taxi, and there are no convenience stores nearby. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the old street. Secondly, from Trip.com's recommendations and photos, we thought it was a large, resort-style B&B. We didn't expect it to be a renovated old building, seven stories high, with only one room per floor. The space was extremely cramped. The soundproofing was terrible; we could hear the elevator all night, and even the air conditioning in the room was very loud. Thirdly, it claims to be family-friendly, which is why our family of three traveled all this way. Also, it advertised free laundry services, so we were looking forward to doing laundry, but when we arrived, we were told there was no laundry service available. Fourthly, the small room space was one thing, but the bed design was very unfriendly to children. The mattress was placed on a raised bed frame, with a wide gap between the bed and the TV. My child accidentally fell into this gap and cried for a long time. Luckily, they didn't fall to the floor; if they had, I'm afraid I would have had to take them to the hospital. Fifthly, for almost HK$1000 a night, they told me there wasn't even a single bottle of water in the room. I had to borrow a kettle, and after boiling two cups of water, the water wasn't clean; there were many floating particles. The hygiene level was truly awful. This experience not only left me with a bad impression of Tainan but also made me very disappointed with Trip.com. I feel that all the previous positive reviewers must have been shills. How can a hotel like this be listed here? What's more, I couldn't get in touch with their customer service at all. What kind of place is this?

Average accommodation, wouldn't stay here again. For this price, you can find a better and more convenient hotel. The staff mentioned they were experiencing a municipal water outage, resulting in very low water pressure and a terrible shower experience. Cleanliness was mediocre, but the service attitude was OK.
