Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was a very grand and pleasant hotel. The lobby had a beautiful Christmas tree and they let us check in early. There were 38 floors which was impressive and the room was big and bright. The beds were comfy and the TV had YouTube and Netflix with many other channels. However, there was some dust on the cupboards and the sofa bed needed money to be turned into a bed. There were many food places near the hotel as well. But go to Anping, Garden night market or Da Tung night market need to take taxi. Overall, Shangri-La Far Eastern Tainan was enjoyable for my family.

Rooms are clean & spacious. NT50 for toiletries as it's not being provided. Hotel staffs are also very polite n courteous. Hotel is walkable to many places of interest! 1. Xin Guang San Yue shopping mall 2. Dong Cai Shi mkt 3. Burger King 4. Mos Brg 5. Mac 6. Famous Dan Dan Brg chain 7. Lots of temples Short ride to : 1. Da Dong Ye Shi 2. Hua Yuan Ye Shi 3. Costco 4. Downtown location, 15 mins walk from the local ********* train Tainan station (not high speed one). Front desk provides a good food map, and there are a free drinking water machine and a laundry room for guests to use. Hotel seemed busy, only suggestion: front desk staff could be more welcoming and smiley. Taiwan keeps the standard high.

Had a very memorable stay at Lakeshore. Hotel was comfy and decent size. Location is very good. Easily accessible to all the touristy spots. Right opposite the hotel has plenty of beautiful photo spots too. Booked the hotel for our pre-wedding photoshoot and even the local photographer commended on the room and location. Love it. Buffet breakfast was also decent with wide variety of choices.

Second stay at this hotel in 2024. Location is generally good for exploring of sights and with many good food options close by. My overall experience for this time was not as good as previously (before covid) though, with hotel amenities seemingly dated and lacking proper maintenance behind the surface. Staff were polite, though did not feel as warm or welcomed as previous. When I enquired about the bicycle loan that was listed on the hotel card issued to me during check-in, I was also told that the service was not available and I could rent a bicycle at the public kiosk instead (probably should not list or offer a service that the hotel does not intend to provide).

A family oriented hotel so solo travelers might felt a bit ignored. Adding a coffee machine at the lobby would be very helpful. They follow Japanese check in check out hours and also quite strict about it… I think that’s the biggest downside of the hotel. You will have to wait exactly after 3pm for the room and out in 11 even they are not full. Otherwise the room and location is good, would recommend.

The room is very spacious and the carpet is clean and not dirty or sticky. Family-friendly hotels can recommend that the toilets have toilet seats for children. The toilet flushes loudly The game room on the 9th floor has fixed times for disinfection and tidying up, and toys are neatly classified. There are also cookies and bottled water available for self-service

Aloft in Tainan, Taiwan, has exceeded my expectations with its welcoming ambiance, excellent vibes, and standout service. The hotel's proficient English-speaking and super-friendly staff, especially Dudu at the reception and Paul at the bar, adds to the seamless and enjoyable stay. Their exceptional service truly sets the tone for a remarkable experience. I must also mention the impeccable clean rooms and excellent amenities that further enhance the overall stay. Special appreciation goes to the Duty Manager, Sue Su, whose friendly and helpful nature has been a standout feature, enhancing the overall warmth and hospitality of Aloft. Kudos to Sue Su for turning my stay into a delightful experience filled with smiles and positive vibes!

I didn't see many foreign guests, just one couple. It is a popular hotel. If you want to stay there, consider yourself lucky. I love that they had a decent breakfast. I read some of the other places don't provide a great breakfast with many vegetarian items if you're a vegetarian or want to eat very healthy, and I liked their honey and homemade black sesame paste you could put on the toast. You also can have free access to the public spa which you should definitely take advantage of. Don't just confine yourself to the great spa type bath you can get from your own bath. I loved how the spa was so close to the King's Garden hotel, which does remind one of a garden. I stayed in two different rooms. For my last night, I had to stay in an expensive room because it was ***** New Year, and I needed one more night. It was very comfortable, though the regular room was more than good enough. The service was great. The people were kind. They also kindly called a taxi for me to go to the station, though it can take the taxi 40 minutes to drive, so plan accordingly. I would definitely go back. I spent about two hours in the public spa nearby two days in a row. The earlier you can go, the better. And take your time, drink plenty of water, get out slowly of the water.
