This is my go to place in Taipei! I can hardly find any fault with the hotel other than wishing the location is just next to or above the train station. Even with that the location at Zhongxiao Fuxing is so central, you can go to anywhere with the train or by bus. It’s about 5 mins walk to the hotel from the train station. The lobby is at Level 5 which was lovely and turns into a mini bar lounge at night. There is a snack bar with drinks at the lobby that is open to guests. You can also leave a review for some of the hotel goodies. The room was huge with a toilet and shower. There are two sinks. Like how the toilet and shower are separated. For the shower there is a tub area which is so comfortable after a day of visiting and walking. I like the music player which is so vintage too. TV is huge with a lot of channels. The bed is huge and comfortable. This is really the place to go in Taipei. You can see the view of 101 when walking to the hotel from the metro. There is also many family marts around. The hotel is actually next to a police station.

It was an exceptionally comfortable stay in a fantastic location, with the MRT station conveniently nearby. It’s very easy to reach the shopping district on Zhongxiao East Road, and there are plenty of great restaurants and bars in the area. Definitely worth visiting again.

I really like it here. The room is quiet. The social bar on the 5th floor is suitable for resting and reading. There are some music activities at 9:30 every night. It has a good atmosphere.

The hotel is conveniently located, the design is cute, and there are CD players in the room.

As soon as you enter the hotel, it feels very Hong Kong style, and the check-in point is on the fifth floor! The style of the hotel is relatively dark (directly speaking, the decoration and lighting are very dark, so it is not recommended for families). The room size is okay and the toiletries are complete. The price is not worth it (although it is summer vacation), but it is not cheap! The reason I chose it is because it is newly opened! I can't find any reason to stay here again

The paper towels were left on the floor for 2 days and were not confiscated.

It would be better if there is a swimming pool

Nice service. People are kind and polite. I would stay in here again if I got chance. People at the front desk can immediately solve my problems about my parking fee, which I appreciated a lot. Also, the bar is really a relaxing place. There are drinks and comfortable sofas for me to work. I like this hotel.

My stay was definitely a 10/10, hotel is very stylish and the light touch of free happy hour for all the guest is another plus. Everything is so closed by, perfect location for few days getaway in Taipei city, and the bar is just perfect after my dinner date! Also thanks to Anne at the front desk for giving recommendations of the restaurant and the bar!

Anne was extremely helpful in making sure we get adjoining rooms for the kids. Location is good! Restos and nice shops are within walking distance. Texas roadhouse and a coffee shop is on the ground floor. The hotel lobby is on the 5F. Hotel is clean. Kids get unli snacks at the lobby! Check in process was smooth too!

"My room was spacious and included a balcony, CD player, comfortable bed, M&G bathroom amenities, and an electronic toilet seat to enhance my stay. I also want to highlight the complimentary self-minibar (including beer, soft drinks, water, and snacks) available in the 5th-floor Social area. The hotel has a 24-hour fitness room on the 5th floor, which I had the opportunity to use a few times, the hotel is surrounded by numerous great restaurants and cafes, and the nearest metro station is just a 3-minute walk away. I am very grateful for the assistance provided by the young and helpful staff, who went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. Their excellent English skills were an added bonus."

We stayed in this “new” hotel for four nights, using the World of Hyatt points. I say “new” because it appears that it has a previous incarnation, in the form of Home Hotel. The interior of Episode is refreshingly updated though, with bolder colour coordination and a funkier looking bar area. Since it is marketed as a newly opened hotel, there are both pros and cons staying there. Pros 1. As a Hyatt hotel, my globalist status was honoured. We got upgraded to a Corner Room, which felt more spacious than their standard rooms. 2. The staff were friendly and helpful. They were always doing their best to help. 3. The room is contemporary retro styled, with a roomy bathroom consisting of a full suite. 4. The eco policy of the hotel is admirable and we feel less guilty for staying there. lol 5. There is a small gym, with sufficient equipment for a simple workout. 6. The central location, close to two MRT lines (Bannan Line and Wenhu Line, means we can just got to anywhere in central Taipei conveniently. 7. A simple tasty take-away breakfast (consisting of a stuffed croissant, a scone and a latte drink, apparently prepared by the coffee place at the entrance) was included (because of my globalist status). The staff did dutifully make sure that we ordered our breakfast the night before. I hope that when the in-building Texas Roundhouse is fully open, breakfast, with a greater selection, including healthy options, will be provided. Cons Since this hotel only started operating in mid-May, we are not certain how much the cons are due to the fact that they were still working to sort out these issues. 1. The greatest issue was the lack of any ironing facilities. We had to pay to use the pressing facilities. To be fair to the hotel, their website does not mention provision of an iron and an ironing board, even request. We would, however, suggest that the hotel would at least consider having a few on each floor. 2. While we got upgraded, the upgraded room does not have a view at all - it “overlooks the kitchen, bedroom, etc area of the apartment block opposite, literally just 10 feet away. The room therefore felt dark and sometimes there was no way we could tell if the weather was fine or rainy. We were a little disappointed with the upgrade and would be happy with staying in our original option. 3. As the staff are probably new to this new establishment, they are probably still trying to work out what is and is not possible. Regarding breakfast, some flexibility would help. As we had to set off for an early trip one day, we asked to pick up our breakfast about half an hour earlier than their 8 am slot. Not surprisingly, we got a no response, though on the way out at 7:30 am, we saw the coffee place people already sorting the breakfast items. Some flexibility would be good when they are doing the takeaway breakfast. We would definitely want to stay in Episode Daan again, given the pros. However, the ironing faciliti

I recently stayed here and had a wonderful experience. The lobby area, "Social by Laylow," was a highlight—it had a cozy, welcoming vibe that was perfect for relaxing or enjoying a coffee. The space felt vibrant. The room was comfortable and cozy, exactly what I needed for a relaxing stay. While the room wasn’t overly luxurious like the Ritz or Rosewood, it had all the essentials, many features in the room felt thoughtfully designed for comfort. One of the best parts of the hotel is its location. The metro is just a short walk away, making it incredibly convenient to explore the city. Everything was within easy reach. This made getting around stress-free and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. Episode Da An is a good choice for anyone looking to relax and explore the city. I’ll stay here again.
