It was less than a 10-minute walk from Beimen Station. It was a light rainy day, but in Taipei City, all the buildings facing the main street have walkways on the first floor, so I was able to move around without getting wet.
The hotel seems to be a very old building, but the room was spacious and it was nice to have a jacuzzi bath.
I booked a hotel with gym facilities. It was a simple gym, but the photos were not misleading, so I have no complaints. However, for training enthusiasts, it would have been better if the facilities (running machine, dumbbells, benches, etc.) were also included. If I could be greedy, I would have liked some heavier dumbbells.

I was traveling alone for work, with 3 people, but the price was more reasonable than expected. It's close to Taipei Station, so it's easy to get to for sightseeing and work. The building has a nice atmosphere. There are staff who can speak Japanese. There were no amenities such as toothbrushes in the bathroom.
Cafes, supermarkets, and convenience stores are within walking distance, so it was comfortable to stay there. Cleaning came in the morning while I was shopping, so if you go out for a short time, be careful of opening your suitcase and valuables. I don't think the cleaning staff meant any harm, but there was no card to indicate whether or not cleaning was required, and it was too early.
Overall, it's a good hotel.
