It is a wonderful hotel in the Taipei city,I love the surroundings,a lots of tress and also a few trails to the Main Street. I had a wonderful time in the hotel, I hate to leave it and I wish I could stay longer.this hotel treats tons of guests everyday,so make sure to be prepared for the weekend crowd.the breakfast is great,however the dinner is over priced with unpleasant food in my own opinion. I highly recommend you to go to Shilin night market hunt the local food.the hotel employees are very helpful and polite.the hotel offers free shuttle buses to connect between the hotel and Yuanshan MRT.overall this hotel worth to stay.

The best service hotel and very quiet. All the employee are friendly and really professional. Will be back again and also recommended to others who is traveling to Taipei first time.

5star Standard Location: Bit far from MRT but There are shuttle bus service from MRT-Hotel Clean , Big room , good mattress, great view super Balcony worth for money compare with Hotel in city Historic Hotel

This hotel was charming and worth every penny. Not the most luxurious but so so cool.

The hotel is very luxurious and the service provided by the staff is very good.

The Grand Hotel is very grand and impressive, with service and amenities top notch. The place is so big, they have golf carts to drive you to the gym/pool area if needed. Clean, great staff and lots of history in this place, however the furniture and fittings are aging just like the hotel itself. Maybe a refresh is needed, or a serious deep carpet clean, and location wise, it's on top of a hill so not very central or that close to an MRT (10 minute walk apparently). If you like taking taxis, or want to impress relatives who live locally, then stay here. I've done it once, but prefer locality over spaciousness, so won't be staying here again.

I love the classic look and the service was top notch. The restaurants are quality and the pool is 5 meters deep.

Everything is perfect. The room is big and clean. It also has a big balcony. Even it's sideview, we can see 101 building. We enjoyed staying here when the Typhoon hits Taiwan, everyplace was closed.

Though it's a historic building, the hotel is beautifully maintained and exudes a majestic charm. I loved finding historical pieces and displays around every corner. We stayed for three nights in two different rooms. The first was an economy room, which offered great value with all essentials provided, even a small bathtub, although it lacked windows. The second room was incredibly spacious, featuring a large balcony with views of lush greenery. The location, perched on a hill, might not be the most convenient, but the hotel provides frequent shuttle buses to Jian Tan station (near Shilin Market) and Yuan Shan. The shuttle ride takes about 10 minutes. On our last day, I bought their delicious winter melon cubes, which are amazing when steeped in Oolong tea—simply heavenly! Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I’d gladly return.

Pros, A nice historical hotel with affordable and reasonable price. The baloncy is very big and the city view is nice. Room is clean and big as well. Cons, The only minor thing is you may need to wait for 20-30mins for the free shuttle bus. Shuttle bus is only available til 11pm, or you need to take the taxi to go to Metro station.

It is a beautiful hotel and iconic to Taipei so a must-visit.

Magnificent! When we got there, the process was smooth. The staff told us everything we needed to know. The pool was big and fun. The view from the room was just breathtaking.
