Hotels near Tiehuacun in Taitung

A really nice guesthouse! 10 minutes walk from the train station of Taitung. We liked the cozy atmosphere and decoration. There is a self-service coffee machine and a kitchen area if you need to cook something. The staff was really helpful and friendly and we had no problem to leave our luggage after check out time!

The environment was pleasant and beautiful, and the staff were all very friendly. The cleanliness was also pretty good. However, it's an old house, so the soundproofing is practically zero. I didn't hear other guests, but I was woken up several times by dogs outside. It's definitely better to use the earplugs provided by the staff! 😆

Note that there’s NO LIFT in this inn so if you have heavy luggages or bags, do consider again. Booked room with 3 Futon beds for family of 5 but no space to open up luggages to pack actually. With 1 luggage open, not much space to walk anymore. The kids did enjoy the futon bed concept and aircon was working well. Clean beds, clean sheets nonetheless. There’s a small kitchen with microwave that is common space for all rooms, and some space to eat if you need to eat in. Some parking space along the roadside, or garden area nearby. 24hr laundromat is 5 mins walk to the main road. It’s an inn so have to manage expectations of space.

The service really helpful and great, they almost booked for me everything, like ferry tickets, motorcycle, diving... Like everything they can do for you ,I'm very appreciated 🙏

This resort is very outdated. Needs a major upgrade. It has old resort smell and the bathroom of the room we had stayed we’re not clean and needed repairs done. The spa was okay and it was weird to have residential building nearby to look over the spa swimming pool. The facility looks old and empty. There are residential buildings around but no restaurants nor eatery nearby, only one 7-11. However, the staffs were wonderful, and we appreciate their help working with us to accommodate our request.

The cat is adorable and enjoys friendly interactions with visitors. It appears that the room lacks soundproofing. Due to ongoing construction in the neighboring building, some noise may be audible. The electric mirror in the bathroom is impressive as it remains warm and prevents water condensation. However, the bathroom fan is a bit noisy, and the hair dryer produces a strong gust of wind. Additionally, the internet password in the room is not easily discernible.

Pros: The bed facilities and common areas are pretty good, and the staff are friendly. When I checked in, there was some dust from the walls on the bedding, but the staff quickly changed and cleaned it, which was great. It's fine for a simple one-night stay. Cons: There's no proper sink for washing your face and brushing your teeth; you have to make do with the cleaning sink next to the water dispenser.

The editor's online conversation was very enthusiastic and sincere, but the male employee who received us on site had a blank expression 🫥 and no emotional introduction. I thought I was still in Taipei, but we asked enthusiastically and excitedly. Other than that, the overall environment was generally good. If you are afraid of noise, please be careful. The train is right next to you and will still come in and stop very late, and the sound will be amplified.

Poor sound insulation, you can hear the hair blowing in the door The equipment is poor and the hair is blowing. It takes 2 minutes to jump. No one picks up at the counter and has to go downstairs to find someone. The bed is very poor. There is no spring bed like a wooden bed. The door cannot be fully integrated. It will be opened at any time.

Very uncomfortable bed. There was a spider in the bedroom. The bedsheets and the blanket always felt humid, so not nice at all. The bathroom floor was covered in water after showering… could be improved with a shower curtain or sth. The whole structure is quite old but I guess it’s what you get for a cheaper option. Also I was a bit concerned because there is no key, no lockers, no door key, and the main door is always open for guests. And there are quite many people coming and going, staying in other rooms upstairs. I would have preferred some level of security for valuables. They provide car pick-up and drop-off at the pier with the car. You can rent a e-bike from them for 600ntd/day (e-bike for foreigners without international license), it is quite expensive but I’ve called other rental shops and they said the same price… the lady also gave me a raincoat at least!
