Kempinski Hotel Taiyuan Reviews

In the past when I go to Taiyuan I always stayed at Pullmans next to FuLi Xinhualing area. I decided to give this hotel a try due to its location and convenience. Location is very convenient, calling a cab is easy, Starbucks next door, shopping centers all round with food courts, Walmart is 10 minutes walk away. Hotel got a pool and gym, I used it and it is not bad at all. They kept the pool and the gym pretty clean. The rooms are also kept clean. Be mindful that the rooms are not design for privacy. If you are staying with another person in the room the bathroom + shower has clear glasses, they have a see through shades covering the glasses but you can still see everything inside. The rooms seems to be smoke free but the hall ways are always filled with smoke smell. They really do not enforce no indoor smoking rule here. It is a hit and miss on the non-smoking room. I see some guest smoking in their rooms with door open. At last the service. The front desk staff seems very cordial and nice. However on the day we are checking out they informed us that one of the towels we used has dye on it which they can not wash out, that came out to a whopping 100 yuan to replace the towel. Really? 100 yuan, I can get a dozen white towels in Walmart. Also, the claim they couldn't clean it was shown to me on a front desk staff's personal phone. Have you ever heard of bleach before? Seriously, you can not get a white towel cleaned? Is this hotel in the hospitality business or linen retail business? Since I was in a hurry to catch a train I didn't want to argue over something as petty as 100 yuan. I paid the fees and left. Next time I am in Taiyuan again I probably will go back to Pullman hotel. Smoke smell is not a problem and they never give me a hard time on something as petty as a towel.

The room cleaning service was excellent My room had a large window, so I thought it would be cold, but it wasn't cold because of the warm heating in the hotel Also, I really liked the blackout curtain, which covers the light well in the morning👍🏻 The hotel front desk staff had a good attitude! They also had excellent basic service, such as lifting up your luggage! If there is only one thing that is regrettable, no one can speak English. The difficulty of communicating was too much. It would be better if even the front desk staff could speak English😊 Everything else was good! I want to visit again next time🩷

Nice hotel in a nice area. Inside the room it’s silent and good to sleep. The Rooms could get a bit renovation, but it’s still good quality.

Very nice. AC didn‘t really work and the room was quite hot - but all in all very good hotel.

Every time I go to Kempinski, I enjoy the service, food, and swimming. It feels as good as ever! Especially the swimming pool, the water is clean and the facilities are complete. When the children are swimming, the lifeguards are always on the shore, which is very professional! Thumbs up!

Overall, I am very satisfied. The room was upgraded, it is big enough and luxurious. Some machines in the gym have some problems. I am very satisfied with the overall service. The breakfast is good, but the dinner is a bit perfunctory. The price-performance ratio is not as good as that of professional high-end independent restaurants. In short, I am afraid of being proud if I don't give it a full score. I will stay here next time!

The room is more spacious than the standard room, with a large sofa and desk, which is very friendly to people on business trips and tourists. The decoration style of the hotel is indeed more of the last century style... more traditional. The breakfast is a five-star standard, and it is impressive that there are canned sodas provided. The service is given five stars because I didn't use any service, so I didn't encounter any problems. There is a supermarket across the street downstairs, and a shopping mall a few steps away. But I didn't find anything to visit around. The gym is not 24 hours. At the same time, it is open to the public and there are coaches giving private lessons. But because of this, the equipment is relatively complete.

Came to Taiyuan to watch a concert. The hotel was very considerate and customized exclusive coffee. It was really thoughtful. The location was also very good. The shuttle bus took us directly to the nearby area. It only took a few minutes to walk to the hotel. Moreover, every staff member was very thoughtful and enthusiastic. Highly recommended!

It was my first time staying at Kempinski Taiyuan. As an established international five-star hotel, it has complete hardware facilities, thoughtful front desk and room service, and the staff are generally kind and friendly. The two children said they liked it very much and would come again next time. Haha😄

The check-in efficiency at the front desk is very high, the staff are very enthusiastic, the transportation is convenient, and there is a good shopping mall next to it. Taiyuan really has concert fever, and the supporting services are so good. The hotel also provides its own shuttle bus service. Although the frequency is not as high as the official one, it is much more convenient. I will stay here again next time I watch a concert!

There aren't many five-star hotels in Taiyuan, and the price is much better than the Kempinski in first-tier cities. There are also Black Forest cakes to eat, so I chose this place to watch the concert. I have to say that Taiyuan is worthy of its name as a city of fans. The shuttle bus is free, the scenic spots are free, and there are fireworks and drones as souvenirs. It's a surprise. The hotel room type has been upgraded to the executive level, with a good view and a much larger room. But a small suggestion, the room can have more space for paper towels, either by the bed or at the desk. The breakfast variety is also good, with freshly cut noodles, but I don't have a brain, so I can only try it outside.
