Silayok Grand Hotel

We booked 3 nights at 690 Thai baht a night (they have real budget rooms at 400 THB). Can pay cash on arrival and we had to leave after 2 nights due to domestic problem and no hassle to recoup 690 baht. Our room was neat and tidy and the bed was really comfy. The staff were polite and friendly and spoke excellent English. Free breakfast is self-serve toast and coffee but quite a few noodle stalls in the street nearby. Excellent restaurant on-site (privately owned) with a good cheap menu open 1000 to 2200 hrs. Free parking but only in the shade of the little trees - could do with some canopies to avoid hot cars. Hotel is signed on the left coming in from south just past Tesco and Bid C (next traffic lights) if you look by the school you will find it. Very quiet at night - a blessing I live in Thailand but am UK citizen Local sights close by including excellent night market by the river. Myanmar border 85kms away and hill-tribe markets nearby
Baan Chang Hotel & Coffee House
4.3/516 Reviews
Impressed since booking the room, got the room that I really liked. The room was clean, tidy, had a feeling like a dormitory but looked better and much cleaner. The uncle was very cute. The breakfast rice porridge was delicious. People who wake up late like us can eat comfortably. The water pressure was strong, the room wasn't stuffy, the air conditioner was very cold. The appliances were clean and usable. The floor was clean, the bed didn't sink. I really liked it. Overall, I was very impressed.
Baan Fa la Mai Resort

The sheets and blankets looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. Toilet that sprays water Water leaks, water sprays out periodically. The floor is always wet. The atmosphere behind the room is good. There are trees. The room is worth the price.
White House
4.1/514 Reviews
A newly opened three-story boutique hotel on the outskirts of downtown Tak on the outbound lane of National Highway No. 1 (directly across from Ratchamongkol University). As befits the hotel's name, ``The White House,'' everything from the hotel's exterior (walls, roof, and floors) to the guest rooms is decorated in pure white, and combined with its colonial-style retro architecture, it creates a uniquely elegant atmosphere. It's exuding. The guest rooms are arranged in a corridor around the pool in the courtyard, and the contrast with the clear blue sky is truly elegant. Unlike the excellent atmosphere of the common space, the guest rooms are not particularly luxurious, but the bedding and electrical appliances are of high quality, and both functionality and comfort are above average. I think it takes no mean effort to maintain a pure white property for a long period of time, but I would like to commend the hotel owner's tireless commitment to art and design.
Tak Andaman Hotel
3.6/55 Reviews
Do not go here. The ”resort” is next to a busy highway so very noisy. The place must have been beautifull 20 years ago but has not had any maintenance or cleaning since. The rooms were moist, moldy smelling. The walls dirty, the funrniture minimal. No decorations. The bathrooms are well below the acceptable standard. The landscape forgotten for years and safety issues as wood bridges and walkways are rotten and have rusty nails sticking out, nearly causing serious injury. The pictures do not represent the current situation. Any outlet mentioned on website are closed.
Berich Hotel

Perfect location for stopovers en-route to Chiang Mai/Rai; also ideal centre for visits to Mae Sot (Myanmar border), Bhumibol Dam & National Parks in Phitsanulok, Kamphaeng Phet & Sukhothai. Numerous riverside restaurants alongside the River Ping provide high quality food Rooms are comfortable & clean - water and tea/coffee making available. Excellent WiFi. Breakfast offers Thai options (no English/US option - thank goodness) Car parking is withing the hotel and is safe & secure. Staffed 24/7 by friendly personnel. My wife spoke to them mostly as English a little limited but can communicate reasonably well We have stayed here 4 times and recommend as a good value for money hotel.
