An amazing ryokan experience with very attentive service by Lai, Teddy and the team. While we had an unfortunate issue with the bath tub in one of our rooms, the team was quick to attend to it. They even offered us an upgrade to a very beautiful room with an ensuite private onsen and covered our drinks for dinner. Very appreciative of the team for going out of the way in their service recovery and helped us to enjoy our ryokan experience with many wonderful memories. Looking forward to stay at the Honjin Hiranoya Bekkan during our next visit to Takayama :)

Their service is good. They can pick you up at the station, whether it is a bus station or JR. If you don't have a good contact after you arrive, you can still ask the tourist information center to help you make a phone call and come to pick you up in 10 minutes! Unfortunately, the water quality of the hot spring is not very good! There is an old street nearby where you can take a good walk! The breakfast is average!

The hotel dinner is quite good. There is a hot spring on the top floor. The view is very good. The hotel is close to Gaoshan Old Street and Gaoshan Jinya. It is convenient for travel. The hotel room is also very clean.

The service was impeccable and we felt welcome when reaching the hotel. They have staff stationed near the hotel to guide guests to the entrance, we got a pleasant surprise upon entering the hotel. The location is superb, the old town is just opposite the hotel. Easy to navigate around the area with 2 morning markets nearby. We were also satisfied with the dinner and breakfast served, good variety and delicious.The only thing I hope could be improved is the female bath as there is only 1 bath which is not big, can get crowded when there are many guests.
