Hodakaso Yamano Hotel

The hotel is conveniently located, right next to the H57 bus stop (the Nohi bus goes from Takayama to the cable car station). The hotel is designed in Showa style and has the characteristics of an old castle. Coupled with the hot air from the open-air bath, the outdoor trees are completely covered with snow. It creates a beautiful landscape. The hotel also has an open-air bath (mixed bathing for men and women, you need to rent men's and women's bathing clothes at the front desk). You need to take a small car down a short slope. Below is the Alpine valley, and the environment is quiet. I especially like to go bathing at dusk. The small yellow lights and the surrounding scenery are very beautiful. There is also a family onsen. Reservation and payment at the front desk (1000 yen for half an hour). The hotel room is large enough, with heating, and the scenery outside the window is beautiful. The only drawback is The shower head in the bathroom is weak and slow. Points will be deducted. There is no way to transfer rooms (because the rooms are full that day). The only option is to go to the public bathhouse to take a shower. There are hot springs and saunas. The breakfast and dinner in the hotel are rich and completely Japanese. I am very satisfied. I like it. I am overall satisfied with this stay. I will come back next time during my vacation! 👍
