The most welcoming and helpfull owners and staff. We visited twice this place, just because the owners were so nice to us. The rooms are always cleaned during the stay and soaps and coffee where filled up everyday. The pool is very clean and beautiful to swim with a view. For us this was the most comfortable place during our trip in thailand. Thanks

Small setting of greenery and calm, really by the sea. Magnificent 180 degree view, lots of trees. Sufficient and pleasant swimming pool, plenty of space around it, breakfast to order and frankly varied given the size of the hotel, simple but spacious rooms, properly equipped (we had a garden bungalow), really very firm bedding (but it's a detail). Hotel 15 minutes walk from the center, pleasant walk, possibility of parking, in short, a great little quiet place, especially for couples (perhaps less suitable for families...)

We were looking for a place in Khao Lak and came over this place by chance. It really was a hidden gem! Located on a beautiful sandy beach and with front seats to the sunset in palm-paradise. Never could we have found a better place to stay in Khao Lak!! It was small and private, compared to the other bigger resorts with a lot of people along the beach (we walked a lot along the beach and couldn't find a more cozy and nice place than this). The pool and rooms where clean, the staff was totally amazing, and the view from the pool was breathtaking. If I come back to Khao Lak, I would only stay here.

Second time staying at this family run hotel!! I am glad we did. We planned to chill out here before going to Phuket and Bangkok. It really didn't disappoint. The beautiful scenery and the laid back atmosphere made us feel totally relaxed and feel like home. We loved the family who run the hotel and enjoyed our chit chat at dining tables. They are always friendly and helpful if you need anything. I highly recommend this hotel.

I would like to share my recent stay in Shambhala, Khao Lak, Thailand from February 1 to 13. I have been a regular guest at this resort for ten years and I must say it is still a fantastic place to stay. The resort is run by the caring Hong family who will make you feel right at home. The resort itself is small-scale and located directly on the sea, in a quiet part of Khao Lak. The rooms are simply but comfortably furnished and are cleaned daily. There are different types of rooms available, including seafront, garden and hotel rooms, so there is something for everyone. What makes staying in Shambhala so special is the friendliness and service orientation of the Hong family. They are always willing to help and do everything they can to make sure you have a great time. The tropical garden with sea view is the perfect place to enjoy meals. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all delicious and served with a view of the sea. The resort also has a great swimming pool (infinity pool) where you can relax and enjoy the sun. But it really is the care and attention of the Hong family that makes the stay so special. Despite the challenges posed by the corona pandemic, our stay was once again fantastic. Shambhala is located in a quiet part of Khao Lak, but the center is easily accessible by taxi. Alternative moped or bicycle rental In short, if you are looking for a relaxed and hospitable resort in Khao Lak, then I can wholeheartedly recommend Shambhala. I'll definitely return! Cosy little hotel with a family sense over the atmosphere..Nice little pool with sunchairs always available. Breakfast is ordered, as much as you want..You can ask for anything, staff is always helpful. Shame about Bang Niang beach which is destroyed by concrete lying on the beach. Hopefully they will remove it which isn’t a huge job.
