I booked a regular room for 1,400 RMB a night on Ctrip.
FOOD:
The food was really unpalatable. I ordered three dishes in the picture and took a bite of each one. The taste was wrong and it was very unpalatable! The free bread basket was thought to be moldy. Papaya salad, whoever eats it will be disappointed.
Checked in and waited 25 minutes. There is no service at all.
There were not many guests on the day I checked in. I saw on Ctrip that there were rooms with sea views. I asked the front desk if I could upgrade the room? Answer: No.
There was a very damp musty smell upon entering the room.
When I checked in, I found that the light in the room was broken. People from the engineering department repaired it for 20 minutes while I was present.
Why book this hotel? Because it is very close to the pier to Similan, it takes 40 minutes to drive.
If I go to Similan Island next time, I will definitely not stay in this hotel.

We stayed one night at Morning Hotel. The hotel style reminds me of a Thai Holiday Inn Express, looking so new and super clean and with a similar layout and look. Our room was spartan but decor was really nice with wood look floor and a nice floor lamp to add coziness. The shelving arrangement affords lots of storage space for luggage and to arrange your clothes. Fridge with free water There is no safe. The bed is quite firm and only afterwards did I see another reviewer mentions that staff provided a comforter to make the bed softer. No hot water making in the room, however there is a kitchen for the guests to use downstairs with complimentary tea, coffee, toast, and a micro wave. The owner’s daughter was very kind and helpful to us. She gave us 2 great restaurant recommendations that we loved and are within 1km of the hotel. Currently both these restaurants are not listed on TripAdvisor, but the are clearly popular with locals - thus hidden gems and we did not see foreigners at these restaurants which added to the experience! Lunch - Phan Thai Jai Yen Yen Very famous restaurant chef in the area. Many foreign chefs visit his restaurant - Only open till 16:00hrs so best for lunch Dinner - Krua Nong Michelin award restaurant famous for soft shell crab - Open till around 21:00 or so

The environment must be very good, but the location is a little too far away. It took nearly 3 hours of driving from Kara to get there, and since Similan is not open now, there are not many people checking in at night. If you check in, it is recommended to stay in the hotel for a day and the experience will be good. It is nice to take pictures in the afternoon, but it is not suitable to go out at night. The attitude of the service staff was also very good. I arrived late and didn't have change for a taxi. They kept helping me get change and contacted me to rent a car the next morning. They even prepared breakfast for me when I left at 5 o'clock. Except for the distance, everything else has good reviews.

First of all, I must say that Search name Pup Will find this hostel first. We hurried to do business in Takua Pa My friend suggested that I used to stay well, but I have to choose. Accidentally we got the last room. Therefore there is no right to choose. Arrived, shocked, the room is very small Moreover, the floor is dirty, we take wet tissue to rub the black floor. The water heater is broken. You have to press the device firmly to get on fire. When I showered, I was afraid that the fire would suck again, so I hurried to take a shower and sleep. There is no sink, pipe below. He brought a water bucket to support. Turn on the water where the water flows into the bucket. I'm tired. Arrived when I was sleeping, trying to endure sleep. He really couldn't sleep, rashes up the body. I couldn't get itchy all. So hurried to move to another place. New place like heaven, please. Very clean, the price is only 899 baht, here 550 baht is really not suitable for this price.

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

Despite being a long way out of Khao Lak, (one of the last hotels, 15 mins out) it’s worth going the extra distance. Staff so friendly and helpful; everyone in the hotel. Our poolside room was wonderful-space to relax and slip into the water and also spa jets whenever we liked. The big pool with bar near the beach was also a pleasure to be at. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and they catered for my food allergies very well. They gave options for level of spiciness for the Thai food. I had an injury and the late checkout til 6pm they provided for me was a final bonus. Highly recommend

This is our second year staying at the hotel. After checking in, we decided to change our plans and stayed at the hotel for another week in early December, especially since the trip offered an adequate price of 7,500 rubles per room. Spacious and comfortable rooms, green, well-kept area, rich breakfast until 11 o'clock. Lovely beach with plenty of sunbeds. If you go a little to the left along the shore, you will find yourself on a deserted beach. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Wir (Paar Mitte 50) waren 4 Tage / 5 Nächte im Hotel. Das positive vorweg: Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Anlage ist schön, aber etwas in die Hahre gekommen. Wir waren in einem freistehenden Bungalow untergebracht, was schön war. Frühstück und Abendessen war gut. Das Abendessen preislich sehr gut. Weniger gut hat uns gefallen, dass das Hotel abseits liegt und keine ”Beschäftigung” (z. B. Kajak, Fahrräder, etc.) anbietet. Nach vier ganzen Tagen wird einem schnell langweilig. Es gibt auch keinen privaten Strand. Vom Hotel bekommt man zwar Liegen und einen Sonnenschirm, den man aber erst an den Strand (und dann auch wieder zurück) bringen muss. Netterweise wird einem dabei geholfen

PPaul_HKBeautiful location and hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. On the surface the rooms look good but they are a bit dated with some impractical features and water was dripping from the AC vent. The toilet is semi private which is a bit strange - it sort of connects with the shower area which is not ideal when you are with your partner. Also there are no wardrobe doors even though the shower area is right next to it.
The staff are generally nice and friendly but service is very average for a hotel of this nature compared to other boutique hotels, with staff constantly forgetting things from food or drinks orders at the restaurant.
Flexibility of breakfast was fantastic though and in general the food was excellent. Encountered some issues with room service on our first evening which were resolved promptly the following day.
End of stay was disappointing - we appreciated the hotel were able to extend our check-out by 2 hours to 2pm (and able to use a shower room to get changed later in the day), but they made it abundantly clear that if we wanted the room to 7pm then we would have to pay for another half-day occupancy even though the hotel was definitely not full. If the hotel was at full capacity, we would have completely understood the situation. It all felt a bit ‘budget’ from a 5 star hotel.
To make matters worse, during a rainy and cool afternoon, we ended up killing time on sun-beds on the beach before we could use the their shower room. The bizarre thing was that the shower room turned out to be a different guest room identical to the one we had been staying in. Surely it would have been easier to let us stay in our original room for a few extra hours, it would also have saved the hotel from having to clean two rooms.
Given that we had arrived very late on the first night, it was not like we were trying to take advantage of them and maximise our stay - we were just killing time ahead of our evening flight. It was all quite a weird end and so not sure we’d go back or recommend this hotel even though the setting is incredibly beautiful.
There is a lot of communication provided about the ethos of excellent hospitality while staying in the hotel. This specific action and policy seemed in opposition to these communicated values.

GGuest UserWe spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

GGuest UserThis is our 3rd time stay at La Flora, This time we stayed here for 3 nights from 17-20 May 2023, Everything excellence as always, the room was spacious and comfortable with high quality cleaning. The breakfast here was so good with many choices and also testy, the staff very attentive and provided excellent service especially ladies who clear up our table. Special thank to front team and appreciated with very kind for upgrading our room, and surprise birthday cake with beautiful bed decoration which made our stay very very special. Over all very impressive, Look forward to staying for the 4th and next, next, next time!!!

KKande58We stayed for five nights at Hotel Gahn during our stay in Khao Lak. It is a very attractive hotel. Our room was comfortable and clean. The king sized bed was firm but very comfortable. We were on the 5th floor in a deluxe room with a balcony overlooking the pool below. Small, but lovely pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Down the street, a short walk away, are restaurants, convenience stores and the night market. This hotel is on the main road and as such we could hear the traffic in our room, even though our room faced to the south overlooking the side roads. It wasn’t terrible but you could definitely hear it. The traffic was quieter after midnight but it started again around 6 am. We had sliding doors to our balcony which were not sealed well so the traffic noise was pretty much the same in our room as it was sitting on the balcony. But we managed to sleep well at night despite the noise. Our stay included complimentary breakfast every day. The selection included one choice of three mains - eggs (cooked to your specs) and two Asian dishes. There was white and brown bread for toast, jam, some cereals, fruit, a few more Asian dishes, juice, coffee and milk. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We had a Grande Deluxe room on the top floor overlooking the swim up pool. It was perfect! The bed was huge as was the bath. Bottled water was replenished every day. The room was also cleaned spotlessly daily. Breakfast was a choice of fruits/yoghurts, eggs/bacon/tomatoes or Thai stir fry. Something for everyone! Bars are dotted around the entire resort. Obviously they charge hotel prices but they all have their own happy hour (actually it’s 2hrs!!). Time it right and a bottle of beer is 70baht and cocktails 130baht. It’s a 10 minute walk into Khao Lak and the start of a 1.5km ***** of shops and restaurants. Alternatively there will always be taxis waiting outside the hotel entrance. You can get these for 100Baht (£2.20). It’s 200Baht if you fancy a trip to the market which is a couple of km further. We left early at 5am and were provided with a breakfast box to take with us which was a nice touch. Overall we loved this hotel and will definitely return. Kha Lak is the perfect place to visit and Moracea is the perfect hotel to base yourselves. Thank you for making our holiday special.

GgvdimaBrand new. Many IKEA quality stuff. Daikin A/C - people sitting on the upper bed might not like its vicinity. Close to the beach and restaurants. Excellent staff, true Thai hospitality. First hostel with no guarantee for the key. First hostel in 35 days in Thai to give e a proper wai. EXcellent English. Nice kitchen, biscuits coffee and tea and water through the day. Access to shower after check out. Etc As a suggestion to make it even better: It is more about personal preferences - lack of curtains to the beds mainly. Some people complained about the music from a neighboring bar. To me it was not too loud.

Good 3 star budget hotel staff friendly rooms cleaned daily breakfast was ok and the restaurant turns into a Italian on the evening that was very good 2 pools one near reception quieter usual pool towel problems on sun beds some all day and guests never even turned up to use ! 5 minutes walk to beach sadly no sun beds ect hotel is 2 minutes walk to main ***** restaurants massage gifts was a good chilled stay

GGuest UserWe upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.

Seaview Resort Kaho Lak sits right in the middle of average for resorts. It's got some nice features, the pool is lovely and the beach access is great. Other than that it's just another resort. We got the Deluxe Ocean View room which was nice but didn't have a view of the ocean, just another room in front. Room size was good and it was very clean. Breakfast is average, the staff aren't the most friendly but not unfriendly, the location is ok but not great. If you're planning on spending most of your time at the resort it's absolutely fine. I just can't find anything to recommend as standing out. Wifi is very hit and miss so if you need to work from the Hotel I be prepared for it to be slow at times. The mosquitoes are insane so I'd strongly recommend if you have a ground floor room to bring repellent and spray, you're going to need it. This isn't the hotels fault, the area just has a lot of mosquitoes. If you can get it for a good price then I'd book it. Otherwise there are plenty of other average resorts around.

MMaikThe restaurant staff are nice but the management is poor. We celebrated our New Year in the Hotel with boring experience because of poor preparations from the management. Poor coordination between the guests and front desk staff. The resort is not well maintained. We won’t go back here again in the future not unless they will change.
