We just returned from our 6 night stay at the beach bungalows. It was the perfect way to spend our 15 year wedding anniversary. This place is a gem. Our bungalow was beautiful and very comfy. We loved lounging on our hammock after our beach adventures and soaking in the pool. Nico and staff were so kind and helpful. They really went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time. The breakfasts were very tasty and on mornings we had to leave early for excursions he made sure to leave breakfast to go for us. They helped with transportation to and from airport, excursions while visiting and local restaurant recs. Everything was Pura Vida. I highly recommend this place!

The perfect oasis in the middle of Tamarindo. Lovely space; the bungalows surrounding the pool are so pretty and efficient and quiet. The covered space with the hammocks and clothes line are great to hang all the wet beach stuff and hang out in during the heat of the day. Pool is perfect! Slightly chilled to cool you off. Nico and Leti and crew are the best hosts. Delicous breakfast daily and use of the kitchen/fridge during your stay. LOVED every minute.

We loved this property. So cute. The owners are very nice and helped us to find good spots around. The breakfast is great. Clean. Parking. It is near the street and a little noisy but all the construction in Costa Rica are not "soundproof"
I recommand without hesitation.

I can best describe The Beach Bungalows at Tamarindo as quirky, and I feel the 3-star designation is accurate. I wish someone would’ve outlined all of the things that I am going to, prior to my stay, so I could’ve made an informed decision. My original review is being cut short so I’ll include that on Google, but the gist is that the bungalows are quite uncomfortable, lack privacy and water pressure, but the location is nice and the owner is very accommodating. The property is also clean and safe.

Our stay was wonderful. The pool was always refreshing and peaceful, breakfast was nice and Nico was a wonderful host, super helpful, friendly and good fun. He gave us some great restaurants advice. The place feels like an oasis from the minute you enter, it was great as Tamarindo is a busy town. We spent three nights there at the ‘Tree House’ which is a small room at the back of the main building on a second level and has the bathroom / mini fridge on the first level. It’s quiet and nice the only downside was that the room doesn’t have air-con and the air didn’t flow well in that part of the property. Tamarindo can be a loud/party town so if you sleep with open windows like we did you will be woken up a few times every night. Other than that was fantastic! we specially loved the balcony and the palm trees around.

we had a great stay in the tree bungalow.it's a quiet chilled place with a lot of places to chill. restaurants, bars and supermarket and brach in walking distance. the breakfast was nice in a perfect atmosphere. the host was super nice and helped us with the transport to tamarindo. don't be scared of the monkey visit at night he just comes to say hello ;)
