The Westshore Grand, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Tampa

The "Westshore Grand" (Tribute Portfolio) is a very dated hotel. I'm not really sure what's "Grand" about it, or "Tribute Portfolio" The names given to this hotel suggest it's somewhere upscale & Boutique, but it's not. Unfortunately the hotel no longer has a Swimming pool due to maintenance & Running costs, so this has been closed permanently. Also, the Gym/Fitness is at best basic. I was bitten whilst in my room/bed. Finishes within the room are questionable, lots of peeling paint, chipped paint & worn furnishings etc throughout. Elevators very slow & one not working. Clearly maintenance & investment issues here at this hotel. Overall, an underwhelming stay. Problems I encountered during my stay (plus see photos) ❌️ No pool (closed permanently) apparently a Marriott branded hotel can't afford the running costs of a pool ❌️ Frayed Carpet in room ❌️ Telephone in room didn't function correctly (Handset didn't work at all, worked only on speaker) ❌️ Hairdryer broken in room (had to obtain a new one) ❌️ Chipped & peeling paint & finishes ❌️ Shower head scaled & not clean ❌️ Bitten whilst in the room/bed ❌️ Toilet didn't flush effectively ❌️ Sink didn't drain properly, very slow to drain

I went with a friend to celebrate their birthday. The hotel is gorgeous with plenty of space. It is ideally located near the airport and stadiums. The room upgrade was a nice and appreciated perk. Love the views from the higher floors. The staff was extremely friendly including the valets and the front desk who greeted us each time we got off the elevators. The bartender was extremely friendly and the coffee barista stand was excellent.

Had a wonderful time here! Hotel is absolutely amazing and the staff is so kind and welcoming. Keandra at the front desk was awesome and started the experience off great!! Room was nice and cozy, very happy with my stay. Thank you!

The hotel was a little dated. I hate showers with a tube. The pluming system sucks. The tub was draining slow.

My room was very hot. The front desk staff did not seem to care about many things and I could not get a different room. It was uncomfortable for the price I paid. I will not be back.

stayed at this hotel this past weekend, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. From the outside, the hotel looks upscale, but that impression quickly changed once I walked in. The front desk agent was not welcoming, which made for a disappointing first impression. Finding the parking garage was confusing, and you'll also need to be prepared to pay a $20 daily parking fee. Another disappointment was learning that the pool has been closed for over a year. Breakfast is not complimentary either, so that's an additional expense. The rooms are very small, and if you book a room with "double beds," be aware that they are actually full-size beds, not queen beds. The room itself felt outdated, with noticeable wear and damage throughout. For the price, I would much rather stay at the Holiday Inn Express down the street. I wish I had done my usual research before booking, but this was a last-minute trip. I'll be attaching photos so you can judge for yourself. My advice is to do your research before booking this hotel.

I stayed here before and the experience was wonderful…I’m here 2 yrs later…TOTAL DECLINE of staff, cleanliness and overall experience and quality. Pay almost $200 and you’re NOT getting your money worth. You have to pay EXTRA $20 for parking…mind you, you’re paying almost $200 and I can’t get parking? Room is somewhat dated (not too bad but yes it needs updating) Bathroom had mold around tub, Staff wasn’t friendly…except the ladies at the bar…excellent customer service! But, now because of this experience…I won’t be back I will stay elsewhere.
