Hyatt Place Tampa Airport

the hotel looked great on the internet. My wife and i (senior citizens) and handicapped) arrived late afternoon after driving 4.5 hours. The hotel is being renovated. unable to park in front of the hotel because of construction we had to park in the back near a dumpster. the parking lot was filled with construction debris. the back door led to a makeshift check in desk. I would have left but we were exhausted from our road trip. We checked in and proceeded to the elevator nad construction workers were in and out carrying construction demolition debris in and out of the elevators. We were very disappointed in the mess and decided to stay because we had medical appointment the next morning.. I fell we should have been notified about the major construction when we booked the room which cost $293 for 2 nights.. In the day the construction noise was annoying. . What a mistake staying at this hotel.. This was the worst 2 day hotel stay ever. I feel that i should be compensated with a refund.

Overall that was a very decent stay at hyatt. And the service is acceptable.

I was greeted by such a nice staff member. Ashley just made me feel so welcome. She explained all about the hotel and all the amenities that were available. The room was large and very comfortable. Great location for restaurants and close to the airport for my morning flight.

This is a decent hotel. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast is above average. There were only 2 major issues. 1. The elevators are terrible. One of them is broken and the other one is so slow I took the stairs instead to our room. We were staying on the 5th floor, that’s how bad it was. 2. The seating area for breakfast is too small. When you eat you might as well have strangers eat at your table because there is no room. This isn’t a bad hotel for the price, but those 2 issues need to be addressed.

My family of five had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore. While we were not able to completely enjoy all aspects of our stay due to a late arrival and morning departure, we were really impressed with our first stay at a Hyatt property. The hotel does not have a shuttle to or from the airport, but does book you a complimentary ride through Lyft or Uber. We did not book this service as it was late at night and already had one scheduled. We tried utilizing the digital key as it was 12:30 in the morning, but the system wasn’t up and running yet. The front desk was able to quickly assist us with room keys and gave us a welcome bag full of two waters and a bag of peanuts. We loved how spacious the room was. It was easy for us all to get ready quickly for bed because of the sink outside of the restroom. There was plenty of space to put all of our bags as well. The beds were comfortable, just make note that they are doubles, not queens. My family stays at a variety of different brand hotels and we were definitely impressed with the breakfast spread here! Even though we were only at Thai hotel for about 10 hours, we were very impressed with this Hyatt property. We look forward to future stays at other Hyatts!

No hot water ! Did not find this out until going to bed but no one bothers to call the customer or even mention it at check in? Poorly lit rooms, stained sheets , and no charging ports next to bed. We can also hear the planes taking off and landing- and this hotel was renovated last year???

Dear fellow traveler, I recently spent 7 nights at the Hyatt Place Tampa Airport/Westshore, and I’m happy to share that it was an excellent stay from start to finish. This property is easily one of the newest, freshest, and most recently updated hotels in the entire TPA area. Many of the nearby hotels are older and charming in their own nostalgic way — fun to walk through the lobby for a true 1980s throwback — but when it comes to actually staying somewhere modern and spotless, this Hyatt Place is the clear standout. Choosing this hotel turned out to be a great decision. The team, led by General Manager Victor Cruz, delivers superb service. I want to give special recognition to Martha and Elvira in Housekeeping — these hardworking stars genuinely care about keeping every room and suite exceptionally clean and refreshed. If you’re looking for a new, comfortable, and impeccably maintained hotel near TPA, this is absolutely your best choice. Bon Voyage!

Classy, minimalist rooms. Friendly desk staff. They made me feel truly welcomed upon arrival. Close to the airport for quick, easy rental car returns.
