The hotel is a little confusing to get into as far as parking wise. Amenities are fair. The room was clean.
One drawback I can mention, is the hotel is located right on the train tracks. You can hear the train running all throughout the night. The train runs the horn so be prepared if you plan on staying here, to hear the train.
A second drawback was the thermostat in the room. Yes the thermostat. Why? The one in our room literally illuminated the entire room. It was as bright as a blue fire. I am sure like many of us adults like to sleep in the dark. No this literally was shining so bright you could read a book by the light. I would recommend to dim them for the customers prior to entering the room.
Oh we also had some noisemakers in our room next door. Had to call downstairs to let them know that it was time for rest.
This hotel is located in a party town. So assuming you like to party, it would be good for you.

Room keys don’t work. No hot water. Room not cleaned. And attitude to boot. My stay began pleasantly but that changed drastically, quickly. My 4th floor room key constantly failed - requiring several round trips up and down the elevator to a condescending and contentious staff member. Turns out the lock was malfunctioning (I keep keys far from anything that might deprogram them) Her unprofessionalism and eventual, reluctant choice to troubleshoot was not well received by me, plainly obvious by my frustrated demeanor. Nonetheless, to “compensate” for the inconvenience, I was advised by the same customer service-less staffer that I could be moved to a first floor room; a desirable, more convenient option affording me quick in and out access while I’m here on business. But alas, and coincidentally? The room to which the contentious and condescending employee referred me was without hot water for my 5am December morning shower. Furthermore, upon my 1pm return to my upgraded accommodation I entered into a space completely uncleaned. I feel like I’m being pranked at this point. Brining my concerns to a different staff member reveled that poor customer service is endemic at this particular facility. Her short responses to my inquiry about when my room might be cleaned and mid conversation escape to a back office as I spoke, convinced me I have a duty to inform other weary travelers that might unfortunately happen upon this place.

Good Stuff: location, amenities, service, cleanliness Bad Stuff: pillows I visit Tampa occasionally for work and this is the first hotel I stayed in that I will try to return to. The location is excellent. There is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. There is easy access to the trolley service. You are close enough to walk downtown or to Ybor. The Selmon Greenway is across the street too - dumps off at the Riverwalk, so it’s great for a run. I was pleased with the amenities. The on site gym is one of the nicer hotel gyms I have been in. The pool looks great - definitely high-end for my normal level of hotel. There is also nice space to eat and drink either around the pool, in the lobby, or out front. I had nothing but positive engagements with the hotel staff. Everybody was friendly and polite. My only issue was it could be hard to get definitive answers from the front desk - lots of “probably,” “I think so,” etc. No issues with cleanliness. It’s not immaculate, but for this level of hotel, it was one of the better kept I have stayed in. Pillows - awful. They squish down to about the thickness of a piece of cardboard. And then they are so long that you can’t really fold them up under themselves well to make it better. The pillows caused me a few nights of problematic sleep.

This hotel stayed for the first time, hilton name is good, it really did not disappoint, but the price can be more perfect if you can nice. Only stayed for two nights, because the price of the hotel behind it, too much can only change places. Warm sharing: breakfast should be at your own expense, 15 US dollars, the hotel can park for free, the hotel location is good, there is free bus at the airport, the hotel environment is very good, the room is very comfortable, recommended

I stay in hotels frequently and I have status with both Hilton and Marriott but I would consider Marriott my day ones as throughout my career and travel heavy periods of my life, Marriott has been a mainstay. Based on the frequency with which I stay at hotels, as well as the understanding that staffing and supply chain shortages are making service more difficult than ever, I just had to commend this location. Though it’s an older location, the rooms are renovated, I was upgraded to a suite, the rates were phenomenal, parking was convenient, and the location could not be beat. But even better than that, every staff member, from Yuni at the front desk to the cleaning crew to the restaurant lounge staff, was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and provided memorable service. I’m adding this hotel to my list of favorites and it will be a mainstay during my frequent business trips in Tampa. Thanks again! It almost felt like pre-Covid times. #Hospitality2022

First the good news, front desk was cheery and helpful. This hotel was built in 2019, so it’s pretty new and modern. Bed was VERY comfortable. Good water pressure. Now the not-so-good news. Be VERY CAUTIOUS regarding their entrance from Dale Marby. The second entrance, the one closest to McDill AFB is a one lane entry, which some people use as as exit. If they are exiting, you can’t enter, and you have to come to a full stop on a busy roadway without a shoulder. I almost got rear-ended. Use the more northern entrance. This is extremely poorly engineered, I’m not sure how they got it permitted. The second engineering flaw is that they use cardboard between the rooms. Last night I heard the neighbors shouting back and forth with their TV on until 2 am. A previous customer made the same complaint. It’s interesting that their TV volume only goes to “21” which is barely loud enough for me to hear the TV with my hearing loss. Now I see why. The walls are so thin that anything louder than 21, and your neighbors could hear it as loud as you do. Your only salvation is to turn the fan for your AC on to high and hope the white noise drowns out the neighbors. Oh, maid service every third day, unless you request more often. Just not what I was hoping for, or expected given the good first impression from the lobby. My advice, get a room at the end of the hall, then you might only have one noisy neighbor.

VVictor TampaHotel Haya is an an amazing hotel located in he heart of Tampa’s Ybor City Historic and Entertainment District just minutes and blocks from downtown and the best airport in the world. The coffee shop has the best café con leche of any place in Tampa, the Flor Fina restaurant has a wonderful menu that serves the best lunch and dinner in Tampa. And you cannot meet a friendlier and accommodating staff from the valet to the front desk to the waiters and waitresses and bartenders and even the people who clean your rooms!

JJen MUuuummm…where do I begin..had really high hopes after the amazing Marriott stay I had in Sand Key for a work conference all week prior. Looking to have a relaxing stay here for the weekend before having to leave early Sunday morning, but instead a very positive experience turned sour with horrible TV reception (yep, I wanted to binge watch shows, sorry not sorry) and then I actually thought I was being kind by leaving the pool area as staff were setting up for something…it was obvious the staff was to “set up” for an “event” they were having this Saturday evening in the pool area, my thought was a wedding reception, a whatever party, which I get, but what I came to find out was it was for a ridiculous make-shift “club” they had with bass pumping music that had maybe 10-15 people attending max.

GGuest UserWhile we only live 20 minutes away from Tampa Airport in St. Petersburg, we do not like to take the chance of having an accident on the bridge and missing an early morning flight. We have stayed here in the past but that was way before Covid started. The one thing this Marriott has gong for it is being directly connected to the Main Terminal via a carpeted, air conditioned corridor which houses the Tampa Airport Art Gallery. So if you have a very early morning flight, the hotel location allows you to avoid getting up an hour or more earlier to take an area hotel courtesy bus to the airport. I grew up in St Pete and believe the Marriott Hotel was built when the current Tampa Airport location was developed so that is 25+ years ago. While the Airport itself has modernized itself over the years, this hotel has not. The rooms are small. The bathrooms very small. No room to even provide an in-room microwave so they have one on each floor next to the ice machine to be shared by all on that floor. Yuck! If you reserve and pay for one of their ”Larger ” guest rooms as described on their website, you may get a few extra square feet of room and a love seat rather then a one person easy chair. Beware.....make sure you get the type room you were confirmed for as they tried to give us the standard size room when we reserved the larger room at a higher rate. Do not bother paying more for a Concierge Level room as the lounge was closed when Covid started and they have never reopened it. For dinner, we tried to order room service. FYI....there are 3 fast food restaurants and two table service ones in the Main Terminal. Dinner time food is available from the Skyye Bar and Grill. You must order through the Marriott App however I found both price and menu item discrepancies between what was listed there and what I saw on the menu posted on the hotel's Marriott website. So I called to speak to someone in room service. There isn't anyone available to talk to. So I went down stairs to the Front Desk and it just so happens that the Food Manager was standing there. I pointed out to her all the discrepancies, which was really confusing to me as a guest, and she said she would have someone look into it. Meanwhile she offered to take our order. When it came, it was all take out food containers, plastic silverware, and paper packets of salt and pepper. I know this type of service was necessary during the height of Covid, but now? Where's the room service with food brought up on a tray or cart that could be used as a dining table? Yet I was stilled charged a 3% Room Service Delivery Charge and a $5.00 ”Other” charge with no explanation. So it cost us $56 for a Thai Salad, a Caesar Salad, and a very small Pizza. Best you take a walk to the Main Terminal and find something there. Luckily I reserved our room last January for $175. I kept checking prices since then to see if they would go lower. At one recent point, that same room was listed for $350. Not worth that type

GGuest UserI chose this Marriott because of the indoor/outdoor pool area! Perfect because it was pouring rain when I arrived and I really wanted to go swimming. The front desk was super friendly and helpful. The free shuttle was convenient and the driver was funny and talkative. I got the business concierge balcony room. Big tv and nice balcony. Used the concierge lounge for breakfast. It was convenient and the food was decent. The on-site restaurant was a little expensive and the food was just OK but the cocktails were great!My stay was perfect for a pre-cruise night.

CClarissaWe stopped and stayed here after a trip we were on was extended a day and we had an early flight to catch. Check in was quick and easy. The beds were comfortable and the location was great as it was minutes to the airport, which was great with a 6 am flight with 3 kids and 7 people total. Our only complaint was the laundromat services were only available until 9. We spent the day at the beach and just planned to wash and pack our beach things once we had come back from dinner. Once we got back from dinner the hotel laundromat was about to close. There was a coin mat about mins up the road , so it wasnt the hugest inconvenience, but it would have been nice to have the on site laundromat available 24 hours or even until midnight. We travel for sports a lot and this is the first time we have encountered this.

GGuest UserAs an ex worker of one of the hotels from the Wyndham corporate, This hotel proves you the opposite of what professionalism and good customer service is.. My review from my stay on the second week of June has been erased. I am not going to repeat that uncomfortable moment we had when the manager called my cell phone to ask me for payment for 1 extra night when the night before we already had walked to the front desk and tried to pay at the counter for the next day. My husband was told that there was no need to pay or sign any document since we already had a credit card authorization form on file and a certain rate already accepted by me. The next day the manager's excuse was that there was a misscomunication and by that day my form was already expired. Long story short, between trying to call Wyndham corporate an repeating over and over by phone the story and asking them to send me their email so I can send all the documentation and proves and also getting an email from the manager saying that my review was going to affect his business, the corporate resolution was to give me 3,000 reward point and if I wanted something else I needed to call the manager of the property again. Thanks for being so professional..........Not.

GGuest UserThe hardest blasted bed I've ever been on! Then, we had some people racing their motorcycles nearby and calls to the front desk to report/request police help were met with disbelief since I couldn't tell them exactly where the motorcyles were - I did tell her to step outside and she'd hear it.... The hotel itself is charming, clean & nicely decorated, other staff were terrific so maybe this was just an ”off” night....

GGuest UserRoom was full of health and safety concerns. Reserved a non-smoking room and the room reeked of smoke and other odors. Bathroom had tile falling off the walls. Black water stains running down the bathtub. Bathtub was rusted out. Feces still in the toilet. Ceiling flaking off across the entire room. Mattress was caved in where it appeared that someone sat for a very long time watching TV. There was no smoke alarm in the room. Chair was damaged as if a cat lived in the room. Did not stay, but was concerned for our safety to go back to the front desk to ask for a refund.
