Hotels near Museum of Moroccan Arts, Tangier

I stayed at a total of 3 hotels in Tanger, and this is the place. It's the best. The location is inside the village, so at the entrance There is a security and there are 10 rooms in total. It's very luxurious. You can park right in front of you Good room condition and hotel in Morocco There are about 20 places, and this is the best wifi. 끊김없고. The downside is that there seems to be a difference in each room. My room had no refrigerator and it was a naturally friendly hotel. There are a lot of ants in the room. Drinks and sweets. I think you should manage it well. And the pool is very nice, but it's under construction. We're not operating now. Overall, it is one of the best hotels in Morocco.

Good. Didn’t have evening meal so cannot comment. Very poor experience with hotel concierge. Ordered taxi to Ceuta and told it would be two hours because they were providing a ‘special car’, at a special price. 800 instead of normal taxi MAD 500. Turned out it was the concierge relative driving one of a thousand similar taxis. Why make your guest wait 2 hours to line your family pocket? I know it’s Morocco, but it’s a 5 star hotel supposed to be providing 5 star service. I don’t expect to have to be on my guard for being scammed in a hotel like this, it is what you expect if your flagging down a taxi, which we did on another occasion, and received better service from. The last experience from a hotel is your overriding memory, you spoilt ours with a street scam. Otherwise I’d have given 5 star rating.

Don’t stay here! These people are thieves from start to finish. In October 2022 I booked one room for two nights for January 2023, then a few days prior to arriving, booked an additional room for the two nights. The front desk claimed I never booked the rooms in October. I showed them the confirmation email, which they asked that I forward to them. They checked us in and told us they would sort it out and get back to me. They had me make a partial payment for the stay at check in. The next day they asked me when I was paying for the 2nd night. I told them I would pay anytime and asked if they had sorted out the reservation. They said yes and told me I owed 1,000 euro. Mind you the rooms are less than $100.00 usd per night, so this seems strange that the total could e anything greater than $400.00, but having already made a partial payment, this number was absurd. When I questioned it, they backtracked and told me I owed about 1,600 Durham per night (which was the reservation rate total for two nights for the room booked a few days before arriving). They then told me that same rate applied to the first booking, even though I have an email stating the room was 964 diram per night. They said that email was not from the hotel. I pointed out that it was their company’s email domain. They said Le Royal was a big company and they don’t know who sent that email - really???? At one point they brought someone they said was from central reservations. He just kept pointing to a piece of paper and refusing to listen or discuss the issue. I opened my laptop and showed them they are marketing the rate for 890dirham that night (about 100 dirham less than what my confirmation listed) and asked why I would pay twice that…it was at this point the stupid little man from ‘central reservations’ ran out the front door, leaving me again to deal with the front desk. The staff were rude, indignant and unprofessional, but clearly skilled thrives - Le Royal should be proud of the team they have assemble at this outdated antique. Nothing nice or impressive about this hotel, but with the added thievery, definitely a place to avoid. Unless you really want to seek crooks in action, sleeping in the streets of Tangier would be a better experience than this place. Save your money, self respect, and time by staying elsewhere. Worst hotel experience in Morocco, ever (and I have stayed in a lot of Moroccan hotels)!

We spent 4 nights at this hotel I liked the location 10 minutes walking to the medina The view facing the medeteranian sea . I liked the verity of food at the breakfast Nice stuff specially the lady who was taking care of the room. Thank you everyone I highly recommended this hotel

Mamora Bay was a GREAT experience for us. The location is excellent and the staff are above par. We arrived on a late flight at almost 2:00 in the morning. The staff at Mamora Bay organized a taxi for pick-up and the fellow was there waiting for us (this was after several changes due to a flight cancellation, and communication with staff was timely and clear). The cost for the taxi was a normal rate and not an overpriced rate - according to my cousin who lives there. We had two rooms with two single beds in them. Each room had working air conditioner and the shower had great pressure and hot water. Beds were quite firm, but I have heard that it is the norm. Breakfasts were wonderful and we made our poor server go back repeatedly for more coffees. He always served us with a smile and joked about our love of coffee. Mamora Bay is GREAT VALUE in a GREAT PLACE with GREAT STAFF. I highly recommend staying here.

The service of all the staff was very enthusiastic. The check-in room type was slightly different from the reservation. The front desk provided all similar room types for me to choose from, which proved that the front desk had given the best choice. However, it also shows that the hotel’s room types are insufficient.

The hotel merits the 5 star rating. Excellent all around. Breakfast is worth praising for the selection and quality of the produce. The staff is very attentive to guests' needs and comfort. A word of praise for the assistant floor/reception manager who out of his way to see to it that my stay was pleasant and memorable. Would only advise not to arrange airport pick-up through the hotel. The service will cost more than double that of a regular taxi. Otherwise, and as a seasoned world traveler, I strongly recommend the hotel.

It was close to airport but 15-20 mins away from the city. Yassir was the front end manager who checked us in. He was very polite and explained us the tours and places around Tangier. Hotel was clean and new. Would recommend anyone staying here who has a flight out the next day or two.

I recently stayed at this wonderful 4-star hotel and had an exceptional experience. The check-in process was incredibly fast and efficient, setting the tone for a great stay. The hotel itself is beautifully modern and well-maintained. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning terrace with a swimming pool. It provided a perfect place to relax and unwind. The chiringuito on the terrace was a fantastic addition, offering a great variety of both local and international food. Each meal was delicious and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay.
