I stayed for one day and liked it so I stayed for a total of 4 days.
It has an old feeling, and the weak water pressure is the downside, but overall I was satisfied.
However, you have to pay a separate parking fee of Dh50 per day.

I was welcomed very friendly by Hotelmanager Omar el B. I got this beautiful room with panoramic view of Tangiers and at the other side the swimming Pool. He goes far for his guests and speaks fluent Arabic, French and English. The hotel is tot a Golden Tulip hotel anymore but the service is still great. As an example I needed a top-up prepaid card for my mobile internet services and the crew went out and bought it for me. Every time I come back from outside the doormen welcomes me and the manager is always waving at me. It’s the second time I stayed here with the same experience and in August I will come back again to this beautiful hotel with great staff, spa and swimming pool were you can chill in peace without the noice from a busy city.

I stayed at a total of 3 hotels in Tanger, and this is the place.
It's the best. The location is inside the village, so at the entrance
There is a security and there are 10 rooms in total.

The service of all the staff was very enthusiastic. The check-in room type was slightly different from the reservation. The front desk provided all similar room types for me to choose from, which proved that the front desk had given the best choice. However, it also shows that the hotel’s room types are insufficient.

I recently stayed at this wonderful 4-star hotel and had an exceptional experience. The check-in process was incredibly fast and efficient, setting the tone for a great stay. The hotel itself is beautifully modern and well-maintained. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning terrace with a swimming pool. It provided a perfect place to relax and unwind. The chiringuito on the terrace was a fantastic addition, offering a great variety of both local and international food. Each meal was delicious and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. It was close to airport but 15-20 mins away from the city. Yassir was the front end manager who checked us in. He was very polite and explained us the tours and places around Tangier. Hotel was clean and new. Would recommend anyone staying here who has a flight out the next day or two.

Design of room with glass panel between bath and bed is odd as light could affect the other sleeping. Service is good and front desk been very helpful.

SShanghaiyeshuzaimeiguoGoing at the end of March, the hotel is located in the mountainous area on the outskirts of Tangier, Morocco, and the scenery is relatively good. But because it is Ramadan, there are not many basic guests, and the swimming pool is under maintenance. The buffet for $50 per person is relatively low cost, the food is not much and it is not added, the customer service staff basically does not understand English, and the communication is relatively difficult. Breakfast ordered a 200ml cup of orange juice, charged $12, a bit outrageous, of course, the room facilities reached the five-star standard. After leaving the hotel, I found that I had overcharged an inexplicable $250 and had asked the bank for a refund. The overall service level can be at the star level of 2-3. Not recommended, the price is too low.

GGuest UserHad 2 rooms for the hotel. Average room, rather old. Renovations are in progress thus maybe caused the lack of service, had to wait rather long while checking in and in comparison with other moroccan hotels, no welcome drinks or familiarisation was given. There was no rooftop access for any aerial view despite strategically located next to the wonderful beach and nearby all the main attractions of the city. Staffs were friendly though, facilities and maintenance fell short for that last star.

Our experience with the restaurant in particular was not pleasant. Rude and unprofessional staff who didn’t keep their promises and were highly disorganized. We called 2 days prior to book a table for our whole family and explained that we wanted to celebrate dad’s birthday and bring a cake, ”no problem with that” - they said. However, when we were there, the restaurant was full and the lack of organization from the staff made it so difficult to be available. We had to wait for 20 to 30 minutes sometimes for a waiter to make a request. After finally finishing our meal I called multiple waiters for the cake surprise, which we had already given them at arrival. They kept promising to bring it but didn’t. My husband then had to go address the issue to the “head waiter“ but the latter ignored him and didn’t even give him a minute of his time. Later on, I called the same “head waiter“ and he responded with an unacceptable attitude blaming me for “giving him extra work“ and for not remembering to whom I gave the cake. By the time they “found” the cake - mind you there was only one other person celebrating their birthday- we were too tired and disappointed so we paid and left. Having worked at foodservice, I understand the pressure of working such a demanding job. However, being rude and blaming your client for your mistake cannot be tolerated. With organization and politeness, our experience might have been different and better with Chellah Restaurant. For now, I do not recommend and will not go back.

They did not allow us to check-in even 5 min before 14:00. We arrived abt 12:00, so we could wait at the hotel pool for 2 hours before check-in. One lady at the reception tried to be very friendly and helpful. Yet she insisted of the charge having to be invoiced on credit card on dirhams (not euros as we had booked through ***********), and with the exchange rate we ended up paying 10eur more. One waitress at the hotel bar tried to fool me with giving too little exchange - giving 20 dirhams (2eur) too little when buying some water. I noted about it, she promised to bring later claiming she did not have, but never did, finally I asked it again. I thought this was only a mistake, but later she tried to do the same to my companion, when he went to fetch some beer. So apparently this lady tries to snitch some 2eur from every tourist looking person... Other hotel guests were mostly locals. Breakfast was quite Moroccan food, I like but my travel companions not. We had booked two rooms (4 persons), and both rooms were equipped only for 1 person. So we had to ask for more towels, complimentary water bottle (which were very small bottles) etc. Calling from the room to reception or room service - no answer at all. We had to find cleaners from the aisle to help us. The beds were not good. The water from the bathroom tap and shower is dangerously burning hot when you just run it from the neutral position - it really was steaming!! Also the water pressure at shower changed and was poor. Otherwise ok, luckily the place was clean enough. Location a bit far from Medina/downtown, but there are restaurants also nearby in walking distance. Beach also near, but the big street to cross over is really dangerous (with 6 lanes, people driving like crazy).

GGuest UserA hotel that I have already visited in 2019, what surprised me is that the prices are always the same, reasonable, a person for 160 to 200 dhs despite everything having been renovated, it's a jackpot. , bedrooms, plasma televisions. The receptionists are very welcoming. if you are looking for a jackpot hotel in Tangier, Astoria is the right place.
