Villa Angela

Lovely peacful little hotel away for the hussel and bussel of the busy town, with views that are fantasic. Very relaxing, if it's a quiet holiday you want this is the place to come. Rooms are clean and roomy with large private balconies with with sun loungers and table and chairs with the added plus of great views of Mount Etna. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are all very friendly. The hotel's mini bus into Taromina was very useful. Taromin is lovely and quaint , if somewhat busy town. There are plenty of choices of eating places, in fact you are spoiled for choice. One thing I will say is be prepared for lots of steps and hills.

Loved every single minute from the moment we arrived till the moment we left a week later. Such a relaxing venue, with the perfect ambiance staffed by charming employees, who ensure your every need is met without any fuss or bother. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifuuly decorated, with a huge comfy bed. Our balcony presented the perfect vista of both Taormina below and Mount Etna in the distance. Nothing is ostentatious, but all class. Both the breakfast and meals served in the restaurant were delicious and the service impeccable. Our nightly cocktail recommendation hit the spot everytime and was the perfect appetiser, before the descent into town via the hotel's extremely reasonable and reliable mini-bus shuttle service. Everything was pitch perfect as we mentioned to the owner who we inadvertently, bumped into poolside. Yes Mr Jim Kerr, the man himself... providing the cherry on the cake to our fabulous vacation.

Enjoyed a beautiful short stay here last week. The sort of place you stay and wake up every day, step out of your lovely room onto your balcony and think “wow, I’m lucky to be here”and you are nothing but in that moment. Away from the hustle and bustle of Taormina (with an excellent shuttle service) with fantastic views of Mount Etna, and differing views depending on what level of the hotel you happen to be on. Everyone who works here is faultless, attentitive and ensures you have a wonderful stay. Delicious food and amazing wine and cocktails too. We can’t thank everyone at Villa Angela enough for a fabulous few days. We also got to meet the owner, who made the last hour a very memorable one.

We travelled from Catania to spend a couple of days in Taormina and booked lunch in advance for Monday afternoon. On arriving we were met by Sam, restaurant manager, who put us at ease immediately. He chatted about the history of the hotel and was just a perfect host. Even when leaving for the day, he came over to us and told us Alessandro would take care of us. A little touch but thoughtful for the tourist and customer experience. The food was lovely, the view was beautiful and the environment so peaceful. We loved it. The staff were excellent from the start to the end. We are going to travel back from Scotland to Sicily on the basis of our experience at Villa Angela. Thank you.

We have just returned from a short stay at Villa Angela and fell in love with it. Everything about the hotel - location, staff, food - was first class. Special mention to Sam and the waiting staff who were all so friendly. It was lovely to put a face to the name after meeting Katharine who had been so helpful with providing information prior to our visit, Ada too who was also so friendly. We can't recommend Villa Angela enough and will most definitely return.

Amazing views, Amazing staff, Amazing hotel, the trip was booked for a 60th birthday surprise for Paul. All I can say it didn't disappoint in many ways and would recommend this hotel. For future consideration we will defo be back again. Special thanks to Sam, Walter and all the staff for providing a great service. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service to and from the centre of Taormina which allows you to explore the local area which is a very beautiful place. Amazing and memorable visit, being from Scotland we loved it . Thanks for having us.

The absolutely perfect place to stay in Taormina. Last year my wife and I visited Taormina however came down with food poisoning so didn't really see much of the city. Previously we had an Air B&B near the north gate. Knowing somewhat of the city and that we would like the ability to escape from the hustle & bustle at a point, we were looking for a hotel slightly out the way and with a pool. And boy were we not dissapointed, On google maps, the hotel looks a little out the way from the main drag where the bars and food are. However with the shuttle service which the hotel puts on, turns the 30 minute walk into a 5 minute drive with everything on your doorstep, whilst not taking away the ability to sit round the pool in peace and quiet relaxing. The room we had was absolutely gorgeous, with a patio offering great views of Mt.Etna. Upon returning from dinner one evening with a bottle of undrunken wine, my wife & I sat on the patio until the small hours looking at the Volcano with a glass or 3 of wine. The food provided by the onsite restaurant is both exceptionally tasty and well-priced (much like the bar - fully recommend the raspberry spritz). The restaurant is perfect for lunch over looking the pool and volcano before getting back to your book and lying in the sun around the pool. The pool is fantastic. Due to the size of the hotel and the number of guests, it is never over crowded and you are always able to find a sunbed no matter the time of day. I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in Taormina than here, and at the cost it feels an absolute steal. You have the ability to be in the city within 5 minute courtesy of the shuttle for spritz, dinner and drinks and have the ability to feel a million miles away from the tourists around a wonderful pool.

Stunning views of Mt Etna and the Ionian Sea.Hotel is perched high above the town of Taormina,easily accessed by the hotel’s excellent shuttle service.Room decor lovely,stayed in Etna suite and had two fabulous terraces.Breakfast and lunch excellent with good selection and choice.Pool area great,never too crowded with the same stunning views.What really makes this place special are the staff.What a team.Really made it a special holiday.Big shout out to Ada,Katherine,Mario and Gianpaulo at reception,Antonello at the bar and last but not least Sam and his team in the restaurant.Enjoyed the chats Sam.Hail Wee bonus meeting Charlie Burchill in car park.Lovely guy.
