Conveniently located very close to the Catania airport and only about 7 minutes by car from the historic centre of Catania (when there's no traffic). Our room was very large by the standards of Italian hotels. Everything was pretty new and fresh.

Hotel located right next to the funicular to Taormina. The rooms are simple and slightly dated but perfectly adequate for one night. The hotel has a very nice view of the sea. Free parking is not easy in high season (high traffic area).

The location is convenient and the facilities of the accommodation are good, but there is a lack of consideration for parking.

The hotel is nice, clean, the staff is pleasant. The room doesn’t really have a view, but there is a nice terrace at the hotel overlooking the sea, we only slept in the room. The breakfast was good, I didn’t like the coffee. There is a store nearby.

If you don't stay in a deluxe room, I suggest you consider other hotels of the same price. My ordinary room is very small and has nothing. The equipment is also very old. The key is that there is no view when the window is opened. It is completely different from the advertised sea view. It is not as good as a three-star hotel.

The Baia Azzurra hotel is well located (facing the sea) but we feel that this establishment needs a deep and serious refresh! It has parking accessible from the rear of the building with an additional cost of €10.

The breakfast is very good, the view is very good if you live on a high floor, and it is indeed very close to Bella Island. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to the cable car after going down the mountain. To go to the station, you can make an appointment with the front desk to take a taxi. It takes 5 minutes per person for 10 Euros. What's more speechless is that we agreed to have a swimming pool, but directly said that the information on the website was wrong!

Nice cozy hotel People were nice and helpful. Not far away from the actual town, 5 minutes travel with cable cars which are right around the corner. Many restaurants around and beach right in front of the hotel. We needed some advice how better to travel and the lady at the reception was very kind to gave us all the options available. It was a little trouble if electricity as there was some working on the whole street but they made sure all our needs are covered. Also i would recommend a room with balcony for a better experience and view.

Sadly we were very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed in a standard room that was very small and desperately in need of refurbishment. Wallpaper peeling off the wall, rusty bin and mouldy sink in bathroom. Shutter blinds weren’t working on arrival but quickly fixed by maintenance. Similarly our sink tap wouldn’t drain and that was quickly fixed. Overall the room felt shabby and given we thought we had booked a 4 star hotel, this was not what we were expecting. There is no way this rating is correct, it is a very basic 3 star hotel. We also had the misfortune to be checked in by the most miserable and unhelpful male receptionist, whereby it was too much trouble for him to even provide basic information about the hotel, not a good ambassador for the hotel and not a good welcome. To be fair the other reception staff were much more helpful. Within the There are no covers on the quilts and zero sound proofing. Be prepared to hear your neighbours very clearly and also lots of outside noise from passing cars, trains, motorbikes and ambulances. The badly in need of replacing shabby veranda doors don’t really offer much of a barrier to the noise? You might as well be sleeping outside, Another caution is booking taxis via the hotel, we took one to the train station and he charged us 20 euros for just over a mile drive. When we returned later, a driver on the rank charged us 15 which is the standard price. Not sure why these inflated rates are being given to hotel guests. On a positive the hotel is well positioned for the local beach, but only a few rooms have these views, most are of the car park. Some nice restaurants and bars up the hill in Isola Bella but we spent most of our time up in Taormina town which was wonderful. We tried not to let the poor hotel spoil the holiday but if you are looking for a comfortable, good quality hotel, then please give this one a miss.

Breakfast good, some noise from trains. Excellent restaurant nearby. Some nice touches. Fabulous balcony overlooking sea on room 405. Roof terrace for sun bathing as well if you wanted it. Food in restaurant very limited out of season and that shown on website was not available

This is a great budget hotel in an amazing location. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly and the rooms are comfortable. Was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast offering, for less than 5€ per day there is a great continental selection (the pistachio croissants were amazing). The hotel is not 5 star nor does it claim to be, people paying this price in Taormina and thinking it would be must be mad! However its is absolutely amazing value for what it is and rooms are spotlessly clean. The hotel is a literal 2 min walk (down lots of steps) from an excellent beach club in a stunning bay. It is also a few mins walk from the cable car station to take you to the main town of Taormina. There are a good selection of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep and the bar at the hotel does a fantastic Hugo spritz! All in all we loved it and was far beyond our expectations for the price. We have already booked to return next year!

Really good location 2 minute walk to cable car to take you up to Taormina town amazing views from the hotel . Room was small but very clean can not fault the cleanliness at all. Breakfast was good but the evening meal needs greatly improving, one night I left nearly all of my meal and we ate out twice. Staff were very helpful and polite

The staff are very friendly & helpful. Very clean. Great location- 5 mins walk to cable car & old town for events , shopping & historic sites. We preferred eating and drinking in the restaurants close to the hotel most nights though. Rooms with balconies are worth the upgrade.
