The hotel spa is also worth a visit, just to relax after swimming. The hotel has a private beach. Upon check-in, a free island cruise is provided, and a shuttle service up and down the mountain is provided. The view of the hotel and also the location justify the price. Spectacular view of the sea and excellent location to reach both the free beach or equipped lido near the structure (5/6 minutes on foot) and to reach Isola Bella (10/15 minutes max on foot) and also to reach the cable car that takes you to Taormina (10' max on foot). In any case it is also close to the bus stop. Quiet swimming pool and always with an excellent sea view. Parking a little expensive and a little inconvenient (there are 4/5 parking spaces on a steep climb) but there is no alternative other than parking on the street (very few spaces) or in the nearest parking lot which is in the cable car square at a higher price. The breakfast is not bad but something more could be added and above all I strongly recommend displaying the cards with the description of the product both in Italian and English given the massive presence of foreigners. The structure needs to be improved (rejuvenated) but I think they are working on it. The rooms are quite large and with a nice terrace. Small adjustments can make the difference for this property which I believe, given its location, has excellent potential... but obviously the price would then increase.

Currently here having a lovely stay at this hotel, yes it's a bit faded round the edges but that only adds to its charm. The views from the front of the hotel and the pool area are spectacular. Sat at the pool bar watching Etna letting off steam at the moment. The staff are very pleasant and breakfast round the pool is a treat. We have one of the few cheaper rooms without a view but on the plus side it is huge and lovely and cool. Location is fabulous opposite the gardens and a short walk to the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again

We spent a fantastic week in this hotel. It was amazing to have direct access to a beautiful private beach as well as an infinity pool. There were plenty of loungers to relax. The location was great, right on the sea side and close to the train station. The shuttle service provided by the hotel that takes you into Taormina was also excellent. The staff were all super friendly too. However I felt that there was a lack of affordable meal options and the breakfast offering became monotonous after some days. Overall a very special place that I look forward to returning to one day.

This hotel is a joke. A very bad joke. If you want to waste your hard earned money and ruin your family vacation then this is the place to be, look no further. But if you want to have a nice place to stay and have a good vacation please stay away this rathole. This ”hotel” is something left behind by a long gone era maybe it was good during Mussolini and his era, but ín 2023 it is definitely an absurd very bad joke, a real rathole. The building itself is an old rundown place with very old, broken furniture, not functioning air condition and plumbing system. The air conditioner was at least 20 years old, making loud noise without any cooling effect. A real piece of junk. There was no adequate water pressure so showering was a challenge except you enjoy showering ín cold water only. But the hotel' s main ”attraction” was the restaurant. Now this is the most horrid place I have ever been. The food was terrible, impossible to eat, the portions were ridicoulosly small and the waiters were from a long gone Era As well. They were chatting all the time instead of working so we always had to wait forever to get our disgusting meal, which we couldn't eat anyway. We left the restaurant with an empty stomach on most days. All ín all Hotel San Pietro ín Letojanni should be closed forever ín the benefit of mankind. Please stay away if you want good for yourself and your family!

My husband and I were in Sicily this summer and we stayed at the Alexander hotel for seven nights. Immediately I have to say that I read all the reviews on this site that are sent to the hotel (good and bad), so I thought I knew what I should expect. However, the hotel surprised me in a positive way, and that is the reason I want to leave a comment. The hotel is really located about 150m from the beach and in a very quiet part of Giardini Naxos. It is very nice and the rooms are very spacious and very clean- that is very important to me. They clean rooms every day and they change towels every morning. The hotel staff is attentive, friendly and always willing to help and give advice about staying on the island, tours, location ... Especially, I want to emphasize that one of the owners is always in the hotel, or Mrs. Virginia or her wonderful father, so that you can always ask them if you need anything. During our stay they tried to help us in every way. I saw a comment on ”meager” breakfast in the hotel and I was afraid because my husband can eat a lot and since I was already familiar with what means in Italy continental breakfast, but luckily there was plenty of food. Every morning we were served: cereals, yogurt, jam, ham, cheese, salami, biscuits, bread, watermelon, cakes and obligatory coffee or tea of your choice. The waitress was constantly filling the plates so that no one is left hungry. I want to add that we had a very spacious room with a balcony with a view of the sea and the volcano Etna, it was great view to enjoy on our honeymoon :) And finally I want to say hello to a lovely lady Virginia and her fantastic father, Alessandro, who has made my stay in Sicily complete and helped me to practice my Italian. In any case, all recommendations for the hotel and the wonderful people who stay and work in it.

What an amazing stay, it is our favourite hotel in Sicily. We come here every year, not only because the property is amazing, with a private beach but because of the really kind staff. Specially, William, what an amazing person. He adds so much positivity to our trips with his hospitality. His recommendations around the area are just top-notch. Also, Sue and Gianluca are really wonderful staff. They all made our trip one of the best trips ever. Highly recommend ❤️

Great resort hotel! Beautiful environment, complete facilities, swimming pool, playground, health room, beach... The beach is not very good, but the seaside scenery is very good, from the beach to the west you can see the Etna volcano. There are two restaurants for breakfast, but we only went to one for four days, and the Western breakfast was very rich. If you go to Sicily next time, you will choose to stay at this hotel.
