We travelled to Tauranga from Auckland to stay overnight, last night. Caroline made us very welcome and we found the modestly priced room very clean and comfortable. The heated pool was a great bonus, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was through the night.

Quiet even though on main road, and still close enough to the cbd. Great swimming pool, the photos don’t do it justice. Warm and deep. Easy checkin/out , very friendly. Rooms are large, well appointed and clean. Was glad for the air conditioning, as it was very hot during the stay. A few cafes/restaurants nearby, but a few blocks walk.

This is my second stay at the Academy Motor Inn. Both times I have been so impressed with the wonderful welcome from Simon and Caroline, and the cleanliness of the rooms, which have also had a refresh since my last stay. The bed is super comfy, the shower has great pressure and there's everything I need to enjoy my stay. A handy location close to supermarket. Would definitely recommend to other travellers and I'm sure I'll be back again.

Thank you for such a great stay! I have been traveling a lot for work lately and this was the cleanest accommodation I have been in so far, beautiful! Rooms were beautifully presented, bed comfy and the pillows were lovely. I can't fault anything. Simon was friendly and full of helpful recommendations. I'll be back for sure

Great value motel - clean rooms, great staff, comfy beds, what more can you ask for. I only stayed a night but will definitely return next time I am in Tauranga. Possibly the only flaw is having someone else’s Ute backed right up to your window as the parking spaces don’t correlate with the units, but you close the curtains and it’s gone
