Academy Motor Inn

This is my second stay at the Academy Motor Inn. Both times I have been so impressed with the wonderful welcome from Simon and Caroline, and the cleanliness of the rooms, which have also had a refresh since my last stay. The bed is super comfy, the shower has great pressure and there's everything I need to enjoy my stay. A handy location close to supermarket. Would definitely recommend to other travellers and I'm sure I'll be back again.

Thank you for such a great stay! I have been traveling a lot for work lately and this was the cleanest accommodation I have been in so far, beautiful! Rooms were beautifully presented, bed comfy and the pillows were lovely. I can't fault anything. Simon was friendly and full of helpful recommendations. I'll be back for sure 🙂

I highly recommend this accommodation if you are staying in Tauranga. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable. Great choice of pillows, comfortable beds and sofa, Sky TV in both bedroom and lounge. Air conditioning in the bedroom and fan in the lounge a must for summer. In addition to the great facilities the owner was absolutely lovely. We'd been having a difficult day when we stopped to see if they had availability, the owner could not have been more patient, reassuring and accommodating.

This place is amazing. The units are newly renovated, VERY clean and VERY functional! All the cooking facilities you need, even a coffee maker and milk frother. The beds are comfy, the AC unit works a treat, the couch and chair nice and soft, and the hosts! Theyre so friendly and amazing. I loved my stay here and when back in Tauranga I will most definitely be staying here again. There is roadworks right outside and couldnt hear anything once inside. Its literally 2 minutes from the hospital, even with heavy traffic and alot of roadworks. Just an absolute pleasure staying here. P.S. To the hotel hosts and staff..i was meant to leave a note before we left as we left before the office opened. But thank you so much for making what is usually a very hectic time for us a real breeze. We felt very comfortable and looked after. I wish all the best things for you guys! Thanks again.

I have traveled to this Inn for over forty business trips, and have been accommodated in each and every instance by the proprietors. They have gone well beyond the mark, especially during Covid where they were flexible with our business needs and with my personal needs, and that is indeed value for the money. The hotel location is close to the downtown area, close to the motorway, and easy to find. Additionally, I was able to lap swim not too far away at Greerton or during the Summer at the Memorial Park, making things easy. The tidiness is a signal of their integrity, and they understand that the feeling of security and hospitality doesn't start at the hotel door--it starts at the reservation and ends at check-out. A very good operator at Academy Motor Inn.
