Such a lovely welcoming place full of character. Our room was better than our expectation, so comfy and spacious with a lovely view. The food throughout the day was excellent. All the staff the staff were helpful. Tavira is a beautiful place to stay and the hotel is ideally situated for exploring.

The hotel is very central, the pool area is very nice. The staff are friendly, Our room was nicely furnished and clean. The cold breakfast choice was excellent, but the hot breakfasts were just various dishes kept warm. For €350 a night I would expect a choice of freshly cooked food, such as Eggs Benedict. However the room was extremely hot. Whilst there was air-conditioning the system was very old. When the fan was put on it sounded like a jet engine taking off. As a result we really struggled to sleep. The room was either very hot, or very noisy. Whilst I complained about this, someone did come to look at the air-con, but could do nothing. It was suggested they could move us to a different, but smaller room. When I asked to see the room they said I could not until had been cleaned. They never came back to me to tell me when this had been done. I needed to check whether the aircon was just as noisy. Whilst reception were very apologetic, when I asked for a discount as we had not been able to sleep and they had not resolved the problem, they simply said they were not authorised to give any reductions. We would not return.

Brilliant - flawless. A beautiful hotel, we had a lovely suite with all the amenities we could want. The separate living area was brilliant and comfortable. The team made my birthday even better by leaving cake and Fizz - thank you so much. Breakfast was generous and really well provisioned with a wide range of products to eat. We had dinner once and the food and cooking were of a high standard. Your team are a credit to you, helpful, knowledgeable and supportive The pool area is comfortable and a nice place to sit on a hot day. This is the second time we've stayed, and the experience has been brilliant - we will most certainly be back again...

We stayed for a long weekend & we had a lovely welcoming from the guests. The food was lovely, the drinks were excellent. If you’re looking for a relaxing and quiet surrounding, this place is perfect. Very close to the town aswell (under 10mins!).

Absolument extraordinaire ! Meilleure hôtel que vous pouvez trouver à Tavira. Tout est exceptionnel. Surtout le personnel qui est d'une bienveillance et d'une gentillesse inouïe. Les chambres sont magnifiques et la literie est splendide ! La piscine est incroyable et le cadre de cet hôtel est à couper le souffle ! Foncez les yeux fermés.

Very charming hotel in a great location a few minutes walk into the centre of town. Very good restaurant, lovely pool area and rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. Lots of historic character with modern amenities. Staff are professional and friendly.

We stayed for four nights. This is a relaxing calm hotel, the room was clean, of a good size although we were lacking a view. The staff were informative but unobtrusive. The pool area well kept. Breakfast in the courtyard was an enjoyable experience. Tavira is a great place, we enjoyed music in the towns squares late in the evenings, and the boat trip to the beach is memorable. The Pousada did lack atmosphere, the bar was empty during our stay. it would have been nice to have a drink in the atmospheric courtyard after dinner in the town. We had dinner at the Pousada on our arrival dinner and this was easy to arrange when we arrived.

The Pousada Convento de Tavira is an absolutely stunning, elegant hotel, perfectly located in Tavira. A former Convent, the Hotel is very spacious and grand with a beautiful large cloistered courtyard and high ceilings. The Management and Staff are highly professional, friendly and absolutely exceptional. The food at the restaurant is excellent. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and very extensive with brilliant service to match. My room, very large with high ceilings and a lovely ensuite, was immaculate. The large outdoor pool and lounge area are beautiful and relaxing. What an absolutely amazing hotel. So grateful I was able to stay here.

Our second time to the pousada and we had a wonderful time! A beautiful hotel with friendly staff who go above and beyond! Great breakfast and pool and beautiful rooms. Definitely recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Tavira. Will stay again!
