There is basically no service in foreign hotels. No one at the front desk left the key in the envelope and searched for it for a while. It would be better to specify the method of collecting the key when booking, especially on rainy days.

Alpenhorn is dated, but the location is good. Close to the town center and lake. Fine if you’re just looking for a place to stay going to and from Milford Sound.

There is a kitchen where you can cook, and parking is right in front of the room. It is still a good choice as a motel. Fully self-service check in and check out
