Had an amazing stay at the Goat village. There were nine of us, four couples and one more friend. Was a great drive including the last stretch of roughly 10 km off-road followed by a short 5 minute trek to reach the property. The property had been constructed in an eco friendly manner matching the local construction style with locally available materials including wood, shale stone and mud. Rooms were extremely spacious and comfortable and even the dormitory was adequate with spacious bathrooms with several bathing stalls and toilets with no issue of availability of water. The food was local, extremely tasty and served with love by the staff there. Lucky Singh was energetic, ever smiling and ready to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Joshiji with his calm demeanor and endearing smile was controlling things very effectively. Pawan in the kitchen was silently at it to turn out delicious food as per our requirements and request. Extremely positive staff made the stay unforgettable. The trek was unforgettable too in beautiful terrain and the meadows enroute were unbelievably pretty. Overall an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended place to spend quality time away from the maddening crowd in the lap of nature

Everything about this property is 10/10 Right from the hospitality, even before we reached the follows up started about where did we reach and if our trip was comfortable enough. Reaching here is a heaven experience in itself. The cozy common room with 360 degrees mountain view with sun kissing them. Each category of rooms including dormitory has its own vibe. Birds chirping , silence that we felt here cannot be described by words. We would highly recommend everyone to have a first in hand experience by themselves. The vegetables here are very fresh and they even plant vegetables locally and serve you. Blankets yoga mat all the games in common room Not to forget the local nag tibba trek and few more smaller ones as well are amazing. Family solo friends or couples its for everyone. Must visit place in uttrakhand.

It was ultimate experience. Hospitality was at its best. Attention to little details with perfect timing was excellent. Food after trekking was protein rich, healthy and very tasty. The way they were ready with lemon water on our reaching back, then warm water for bath and food, warmth of Hospitality can't be explained in words.

Absolutely loved our experience here. Know what to expect before you arrive - it is difficult to reach and doesn’t have any frills or luxuries. But being remote and away from the hustle and bustle makes it all worth it. The views are breathtaking and the vibe is so serene. The staff are friendly and helpful. Go with a sense of adventure and truly take in the stunning natural beauty.

A short trip from Delhi to Dehradun for a Strategising Huddle led to an impromptu drive to and a night at The Goat Village with Childhood Friend and Military Veteran Colonel Asheesh Istwal who with his partners has created a few such "Havens Near Heaven" and extended us an opportunity to experience the Serenity and Beauty of Uttarakhand Drive from Selaqui to BASE CAMP GOAT was winding, smooth and filled with nostalgic talks and jokes as we meandered the Hills and drove into lap of the Himalayas Parking the Thar at a predesignated Rendezvous, we were greeted for a short trek to The Goat Village by a Smiling Team Lucky As we closed after what seemed a breezy short yet sweaty walk; courtesy being out of touch due to Pandemic constraints, one noticed Our National Flag welcoming us to The Goat Village and that seemed to give an Energy Boost as a Veteran Good Thought to have Our Flag Fluttering High Asheesh We were Welcomed by the Manager Bishen and Chef Pawan who brought some Hot Tea with less milk and Pakoras with Bhangjeera Chutney Soon we climbed up another Smooth Contour to be perched upon Campstools, sipping Tea and watching the Sunset amidst some Forestfire Calm and the Winterline was Beautiful Post some cheer and fun atop that saddle, we were at our Hut for a quick freshening up and out for a Campfire with sip of Old Monk (One after maybe 30 years willingly in Company of a Great Friend) with yes, the Pakoras with Bhangjeera and some more Yumlicious Snacks followed by Dinner and Conversations of years gone by Nice Cozy Wooden Hut with Minimalist Nature-Friendly Facilities and yes NO Hot Shower while Team Bishen could surprise you with some Hot Water as a Special Consideration in mornings As one left the curtains open overnight, the pre-Dawn transcended into a Beautiful Dawn and Sunshine What followed was some Inspiring French Press and a Sumptuous Breakfast and simply letting the Time go by with Sun Warming the Earth and light winds bringing back more Memories Off we went strolling down to the Thar and through Mussorie back to Dehradun as this short Sojourn to the Hills laid a foundation for more trips there later Must Visit for Friends, Family, Business Associates on an Offside, College Buddies, Children on School Excursions and Foreigners seeking Quiet, Calm and Sun Atop Mountains Cheers and Good Health and Thank You Team 'The Goat Village'
