Room we first offered was full of wasps. When we asked to change room they asked for 500- for upgrade. However they did not charge at the time of checkout. Lift was not working as our room was on second floor and restaurant on fourth floor my wife's had some problem in knees and was very painful to go to second to fourth floor for lunch as they denied serving in room for lunch. However the location of property was very good on lake side.

Just finished up a quick trip and stayed at Le Roi Hotel in Tehri village! ⛰️ The location was pretty good, right in the village. Anand Kashi is indeed a place for anand. We spent three nights in Raag Malkauns ( Room no 203) which is a specious room with a bathroom that equals the size of a bedroom in a Mumbai flat! Some thoughtful 'specials' were - daily 'khuraak' of walnuts , almonds etc soaked in water kept in the room, support bars in the bathroom for the elderly and drinking water in a copper jug. Ganga flows majestically next to the resort and it was an absolute bliss to sit on the banks of the river and do nothing. It is a property owned by Forest Essentials owner - Meera Kulkarni and her gentle but subtle touch is felt in the renovation done in the property once occupied by the king of Tehri Garhwal. The spa is run by FE with its proprietary oils and masseurs Ning and Dhima were excellent. We have never come across a hotel where everybody is always smiling and seem content. Pinky, Jun and Rajni in the restaurant and Vijay & Saurabh (who is an excellent painter) who took care of everything, were great! Chef Harsh and Rajendra made sure that the food was noy just yummy but was like home! Housekeeping staff were ever ready to help. It is a small property with 22 rooms and personal touch makes the experience intimate. Our request for a firm mattress was kindly accommodated. GM Santanu Ghosh was always around to take care of smallest of the details. If I have to find fault, it will be the absence of sockets near the writing desk and next to the beds.

MMark2250We had such a great time at this hotel. The staff were tentative, kind and helpful. This is the best view of the Himalayas around Dhanoulti and could not believe we had such an amazing view from our bedroom window!!
There isn’t much else around the area so it’s a great spot for relaxing with a book, enjoying the view and slowing down.

GGuest UserWe were a group of 10 persons and took 3 cottages which were not prepared even after 20 days pre-booking time. Even after our request to give us 3 rooms together, we got rooms away from each other. We reached at 4pm still the rooms were not cleaned properly. On questioning, the reception guy told us that the housekeeping girl got injured. The list of complaints kept increasing and they had excuses for everything. The best thing about the place is its location in terms of beautiful view. But as soon as you enter the village area, you will be completely cut off as the phone signals will go off. The resort says it has wifi which was not available for a single minute in our 2 nights -3 days stay. There was no power most of the times. In fact we had to give our buckets to get hot water for bathing. One or two hiccups can still be adjusted to but the stay was full of hiccups. The property is also understaffed due to which they are always running and the food orders are delayed even after giving meal order 3 hrs in advance. The property is not at all maintained nor are the fixtures and furnishings inside the room. At the time of booking, we were told breakfast will be buffet but they could not provide the same. Leave any luxury part, but even necessities are inaccessible here. To cut it short this place is not meant for vacations but may be good if you have to punish someone. Please avoid this as there better properties in the same location.
