Just wanted to thank you for a great stay. I stayed here recently with my partner, as accommodation while we explored Girraween. The motel only has eight rooms but they’re very well located right behind the tavern, so there’s no road noise while you’re sleeping. In fact, I was really surprised at how quiet it was in our room. The room was clean and warm. I really enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff. We got our locations mixed up prior to checking in, the staff at check in were very friendly, about a hundred times better than the one we were mistakenly at. The pub food was absolutely fantastic. So good, that I wanted to get the same thing again on the second night (porterhouse steak, from a local butcher, we were told). I ended up getting the lamb shanks and my partner had the steak, which we shared. The food and the service was excellent. If I come back to Tenterfield, or if I’m back on the New England Highway, I’ll be stopping again. Thank you so much!

Our stay at the hotel was comfortable enough, but a few areas left room for improvement. A small wet bar or sink in the room would have been useful for cleaning dishes and flatware, especially for longer stays. The breakfast was disappointing, offering limited choices like white bread, cookies, cereal, and juice with no healthier or more substantial options. The most frustrating aspect was the WiFi. It was extremely unreliable, rarely connecting and never stable when it did. For a hotel that lists WiFi as an amenity, this was a big letdown. They should reconsider advertising it as such if the service can’t be improved. The TV options were also quite limited, which didn’t help when the WiFi failed, making it difficult to unwind after a day of exploring. While the location and staff were great, these issues, especially with connectivity, left much to be desired.

The rooms are the cleanest we have ever seen in a motel/hotel. Continental breakfast included in price. Bed very comfy plus all amenities available such as TV, fridge, AC, microwave, toaster, jug etc. The tavern serves excellent and delicious food and is close to the rooms so very convenient.

Recently stayed here when visited the town for an Aunts funeral. I was there for 4 nights & was very happy with the room. It was very clean & was serviced daily. The bed was very comfortable as well. Would definitely stay there again & would recommend to anyone wishing to as well.Is in a great location too.

Located in a convenient location at the back of the tavern, our room was clean and comfortable with all the essentials. Everything was replenished nicely for our continental breakfast, tea & coffee. The bathroom has a heating lamp, great in winter. Note the wifi does not work very well in the rooms. Housekeeping was a little too keen to clean and both mornings walked into our room before 9am. They should be more mindful that no car does not mean no guests.
