Jenny Lake Lodge has been on our bucket list for a while. We had to cancel our trip during the pandemic, but were thrilled to rebook it for this year. It thoroughly lived up to expectations. The location is great for hiking and biking around the lake. It is serene and quiet, set away from the hustle and bustle of the Jenny Lake Visitor Center. The most accessible hiking paths also generally avoid the areas frequented by the crowds at the visitor center, while still letting you access the same areas. The cabin was rustic but very well appointed. It was cold outside at night and the electric heater worked great. The beds were comfy. Housekeeping was excellent and made sure we were fully stocked with everything we needed for our family of four. We didn't ride horses, but they had rides for ages 8+ that were readily available to book during our 3-day stay, if you booked when you first arrived. We were there in late August -- so maybe it helped that it wasn't peak summer. They tended to be 1.5 to 2 hour rides with limited timing choices, so it just didn't work with our schedule -- but if you really wanted to go, it was available. Dining was amazing! Yes, the rooms are pricy, but they include a first class breakfast and dinner with each night. If you are a foodie, this is the place to stay in the park -- no question! We had one adventurous child who thoroughly enjoyed the adult menu, and one more cautious one who was plenty satisfied with offerings from the kids' menu. No one left hungry. The servers were flexible, and you could even mix and match a little if the youngers ones wanting to try one or two items from the adult menu. The meals (breakfast and dinner) are included with your stay, but you should be aware that gratuity is not (and is substantial for the value of the meals provided) -- just be sure that's part of your budget. We would definitely consider returning in a future year, and in fact we saw many other travelers in the dining room who appear to make this an annual tradition. I can absolutely see why!

The perfect respite from city life! Perfect location walking distance to Jenny Lake and so many great trails. The staff is top notch and there for your every need. We had the signature package, which included 5 course dinners and breakfast. Also included was horse back riding. Worth every penny and we will be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge. The cabins are spacious and comfortable. On site complimentary bicycles and guided horseback riding added to the fun. Short bike ride to String Lake for swimming and rock jumping. Unique and delicious five course dinner every night. Wonderful experience.

We stayed at the Jenny Lake Lodge for 3 nights for our 40th wedding anniversary. We had stayed 20 years before and had such a memorable experience, we decided to go again. We were even more impressed this time! What makes the lodge such a special place is the staff and management. They are all top notch and make sure you have a memorable time. There was never a request they couldn't meet-the wrangler even made sure we could ride on the day we left since the ride the day before was not quite what we had hoped . The dinners were all so special-with several entree choices, there was never an evening where we didn't know what to order. The food was prepared beautifully with great sides and presentation. We had a special dessert for our anniversary. The cabins are well appointed, with a Kuerig coffee maker! The ice bucket was always full as was the carafe of filtered water. The bed was super comfy. Horseback rides and the use of fun bikes was included. Several lakes are nearby. We rented a kayak on Jenny Lake and really had fun. Jenny Lake Lodge is a magical place and we highly recommend a stay there-whether with your family or as a couple. (or single!!)

Colter Bay village is one of the oldest and least upgraded facilities in the National Park System. This is a poorly maintained and managed village. Apparently, Vail Resorts is the corporation that picked up this lodging location. Vail mainly focuses its attention on Ski Resorts. Vail does well with Ski Resorts but not National Park lodging facilities. There is only one food option in Colter Bay and definitely not worth the money. The only bright spot is the view and the boating on the lake, other than that, I would suggest a day trip to the Tetons and stay in Jackson Hole.

Staying at Jenny Lake Lodge is a wonderful experience and made more so by a welcoming Staff that goes out of their way to make sure you are comfortable (from extra pillows to daily refilling of the cabins ice bucket). Meals (breakfast and dinner) were included with the reservation and given notice the day before, box lunches can be arranged. Bicycles for all ages are readily available and but reservations are needed for trail rides from the on-site stable. Cabins are charming with chairs (2) & table for relaxing and very comfortable beds, good lighting, blackout curtains, room safe and a mini fridge for picnic supplies. The bathroom is small (very limited counter space) w/tub/shower, really good water pressure, generous bath amenities (shampoo, conditioner, bath gel) and a double supply of towels. NOTE: the cabins are not air-conditioned but if kept closed during the heat of the day, stayed comfortable. NOTE: We took advantage of the Triangle Ranch Float Trip (3hrs.) from nearby Moose that the Concierge recommended; advance reservations are needed!

Wow. This was amazing. Great room, great service, great views, great food. We have stayed at Jackson Lodge many times, to include the Moran Suite, and this was just great. We have eaten dinner there previously, but never stayed here. We will be back.
