Mount Cinnamon Grenada

We were greeted with cold towels and cold water at check in, the service just continued from there. Fresh flowers and cookies in our room each day, there was always someone there who could answer our question or help us schedule whatever tours we wanted to take. We were already talking about coming back next year.

With my family we had a superb six nights stay at Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club. The accommodation is very good. We enjoyed Grand Anse Beach and its white sands. The food at Savvy's restaurant is mouth-watering. The friendly staff provided competent and continued assistance without fail. We are already preparing for our return trip next year.

We loved everything about Mount Cinnamon! Our villa was beautiful as was the view from our balcony. Dinner at the restaurant on the beach was delicious. There was a dj/singer as well as a bonfire which was so much fun! We danced and celebrated family anniversaries and birthdays. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Mount Cinnamon while visiting Grenada.

Those in search of the ordinary, the bland, and the conventional are strongly advised to steer clear of the island of Grenada - and doubly so for the establishment known as Mount Cinnamon. Anyone who prefers "average" and enjoy only that which is mild and unsurprising will be deeply disappointed; Mount Cinnamon is not an over-processed, plastic-wrapped, industrial hotel, nor is it located on an average, flat, boring beach. It is, as the name suggests, on a mountain, one which slopes down tropical hillsides, over a lush lawn, to a wide ***** of perfect white sand, right into some of the most beautiful waters in the entire Caribbean Sea. This place is, quite simply put, unique and deeply special. It is possible, should one choose, to spend your time there planted on a deck chair, umbrella overhead and drink in hand, doing very little. That, however, might be a mistake. There is much to be done here, and when you arrive you can feel it coming up through the soles of your feet - that richness springing up from the volcanic soil and the fervent history of this place. It demands at least a little doing, even from those of us who are exhausted by doing in our daily lives, Go, if you can tear yourself from the hillside views, warm water, and perfect sand, go and explore. You will not be disappointed, for forests, farms, mountains, cloud-ringed summits, and dormant volcano crater lakes filled with fish await. Learn the story of how chocolate is made from those who still make it by hand, exactly as it was done centuries ago. Hear the history spoken by those who know it, who lived it. On the topic of Mount Cinnamon's hospitality, there is little to be said, except that it is matched only by the hospitality of Grenada itself. There is an optimism, an openness, and a readiness to engage which is refreshing for those of us coming from places where the culture has grown bitter and divided. The smiles are quite genuine, the inquiries and offers to help are sincere. It is a real place with real people, not automatons. The welcome they will give you is genuine, and for that reason, it is invaluable in a world where genuine is a rare commodity. Consider the food of Grenada and you will find, very soon, depth and complexity, as well as abundance. The flag of this island nature features nutmeg, and that is no accident. The Spice Island holds a tremendous secret, one which is shared here with some trepidation, for fear that crowds will flock there and make it harder to appreciate - the food is simply the best in the Caribbean, possibly the hemisphere. Every meal at Mount Cinnamon was extraordinary, from the routine breakfast to the beachside dinner feasts. The chefs must be unsung heroes, living in secret on the shores of that island, hiding their gifts and sharing them only with the select few for reasons that defy explanation. Beautiful resort with breathtaking views. Very comfortable. Lovely, helpful staff. An all around pleasure.

A wonderfully warm welcome on arrival was followed up with friendly service throughout our stay. A real pity that - despite efforts to resolve the issue - the pool was out of action as tank water levels had dropped so low. That said, it was no real hardship to walk down to the beautiful beach!! A comfy bed and a cool room ensured a good rest overnight

I would not hesitate to recommend Mt Cinnamon for a visit to Grenada. The location at the bottom end of Grand Anse Beach is ideal with glorious views across the bay to St George's. The food served at Savvy's restaurant is of a high quality and the accommodation and facilities are first class. But most of all the staff are an absolute delight always happy to engage and share stories which they do in a completely natural and genuine manner. A definite plus for the resort.

Wonderful location on beautiful Grand Anse beach and a short walk from gorgeous BBC beach. Being able to walk along the beach to various restaurants and tours was perfect. Amenities are plentiful! We stayed in the Hacienda Suite which offered more than we’d need. Fine dining offered at two restaurants and you can tell the staff is eager to make sure you enjoy your stay! We were celebrating an anniversary and they planned a few surprises for us, making it a memorable trip!

Very much appreciated transport to/from the airport. I paid more than I normally would for accomodations just for the location and the dive shop. Location was good and the property and views were beautiful. Room was comfortable. Housekeeping was hit or miss. Shuttle was hit or miss. Some of the staff were exceptional and others seemed annoyed/disinterested. Reception staff very helpful and accomodating. Restaurant staff not so much. Didn't use the gym (didn't even find it) or the spa. Went to the beach a few times and was awkwardly approached by staff trying to send me away before realizing that I was a hotel guest. Overall, not worth the price.
